I'm in Washington [the west coast one] and I haven't gotten a letter and the dealer has on parts . No heads ,gaskets ,fuel shell , heated grips , no a darn thing I need to get my bike right . :nixweiss:

Well, you know they did have a big earthquake in China a few months back, and of course now they are preoccupied with the Olympics (and have to shut down factories so the athletes can actually breath the air).  Once all that is out of the way I'm sure the MoCo will get caught up.  In the meantime, don't ride your bike once you've been notified about the safety recall, or if something bad happens they'll tell you it's your fault you got run over by that semi after your bike quit running.

Just remember don't dare call this a recall.

The MoCo is only improving products.

I didn't get any letter. I shown the service bulletin to my service guy, he asked for the VIN, he checked it and confirmed that the bike is affected and Iwill drop the Spinger  off tomorrow for changing the parts..........

I wonder if the letters are going out registered mail? I guess if this is a 'performance upgrade' then there wouldn't be any liability.

My Service Manager got MoCo to ship the correct heads over night this time(I love my dealer)... I know it was tough for them to remember black for '07 and granite for '08 but hey, I'll cut 'em some slack.. They got it right in only two tries.  The dealer got me in on Friday and 5.2 hours later I have new heads.  Which I think my mother frequently suggested that my head wasn't right and she wished she could replace it.  If she spent $36000 to get me maybe she'd of gotten two.  Of course if they gave me a black one it wouldn't have matched as I am definetly a granite head.

At any rate, all seems well now and I'm somewhat confident that I can get the bike to Milwaukee and back without a major problem.  Dang... Modern cubicle without a piece of wood in sight to knock on.

Got my notice yesterday, but already have a new motor in the create at the shop. They will swap it out when I return form Milwaukee.  I hope they got the upgraded components on this one.

I got my letter yesterday on the 110.  Also got my museum tickets, an 09 parts catalog, an 18 month dealer survey (which I filled out all ok for the dealer but indicated my displeasure with the 110 issues), & some Chrome cash certs. also.  Big day for getting HD crappola.

At this point I am in no hurry to get the new parts installed.  Bike is running great & figure the more miles I get out of the old stuff, the better.  Plus the dealer will have done several rebuilds buy the time I get around to taking mine in.  May do it this winter - may not.  If the engine has to be cracked open, might as well get a few extra thousand on it before any freebies.  Plus will see how other guinea pigs bikes do after a few thousand miles of the new improved stuff. Kinda disappointed that there were no free Slim Jim coupons with my letter, though.

Got my letter Friday.  Same day I got the "Product Improvement Campaign" work done.  They must think I'm telepathic.  Or they figured out I'm reading CVOHARLEY.COM and are cursing up a storm. hehehehe....
