A belated "get Well Soon".  Glad you're OK.
If they decide to total the bike, ask them what do they want for it.  You might be able to buy it back from them and with a little extra money out of pocket get your CVO back.  As everyone say, you have options.
Also, good thing you stayed with the bike, or it could have been much worse (for you).

Hope you are doing better.  Glad that you are around to tell us about it too.  It sucks that things like this happens, but it is a great reminder for us all how quick accidents do happen.

I just recently got my bike, now I have been riding some type of motorcycle for a long time as well but it has been a little over 5 years since my last motorcycle.  Although I feel comfortable riding my HOG...I am making sure to take it slow.  I have had a couple of close calls on my previous bikes and I have had loads of bumps, bruises, and even fractured my hip as well as getting a few stitches to the head on a dirt bike.  It is easy to over or under shoot turns...to be perfectly honest about it this is why I bought this bike.  I may be tempted to run her a little bit, but it is much more fun to lay back and cruise.  My wife and I just had a little boy about 9 1/2 months ago and my rice rocket days are over...I won't be doing some of the stupid stuff that I used to do on my rice rockets.

Glad to hear that you are not to beat up and it happens to us all...you PRIDE will heal quickly too.

It just goes to show you fear is a good thing it slows you down. Good luck on the repairs both on the bike and yourself. A good warning to all of us that have been riding for a long time it could happen to anyone. Thanks for sharing honestly I know it made me think about my habits when I saw how much Riding experiance and the training you have taken before this happened.

What if the frame neck is bent ? I was told they automatically have to replace the frame, do you know if that's true ?

While it's true the frame can be straightened, I'd want a new one.

I was at the dealer yesterday for fuel filter recall.  While waiting there, the tow truck brought in a bike that was in an accident.  It was very difficult to look at the bike, heart breaking.  They said the guy was OK and that was the third bike they received that day.  I can't imagine how you felt seeing your bike on the ground (after realizing that you're OK).

I agree 100%. It turns out the frame is fine but the total loss is right around $7,000.00. In addition, the painted parts will take up to 8 weeks to arrive which is a total bummer. I can't have a loaner which is a bit dissapointing since my insurance will NOT authorize a motorcycle as a rental vehicle.

The good part is my road rash is healing fine and it doesn't hurt anymore like it did last monday

Went out for Mexican late yesterday and came upon some police and 5 or 6 bikes up ahead. Got that knot in my stomach as we got closer and then saw the same situation as happened to you. Pulled off to assist and found out it was a little too much speed mixed in with a little gravel. brother was pissed but ok, engine guard, tank and fender took most of the slide. Needless to say we slowed down for the rest of the evening. It may be a little humbling to those of us with a few miles and bruises under our butts, but it's one heck of a reminder to me that it's not always those 4=wheelers that can get in the way just a "momentary lack of reason" of my own. Paint and sheet metal are cheap, really glad you're o.k.
