Nasha, how long have you been riding?  It sounds like you speak from experience...

not only amateurs......

The grooved roads certainly get your attention, but the transition of the 4 inch drop going 70 and without warning makes your butt clinch.

There are grooved roads everywhere around here, so pretty use to them, but still have to seek out the 4 inch raised man hole covers. I hate running
over

them with my butt on the seat.

Steel grate bridges in the rain and wind is a favorite of mine also.

The Chesapeake bay bride tunnel going 75 dodging swooping seagulls off the overhead lights really makes me fill my pants. Last time 2 just missed the bat

wing and  they sure look bigger when they are up close doing 75. it must be a game with them......there are hundreds out there...

When its time for tires change to the Elite 3's from Dunlop. They have a different tread pattern then the stock 402's that does not track in the rain grooves.

I'm with Hd-dude
and Porthole, switch to Elite 3's or Metzeler ME880's and it is no problem with grooves.

I'm running the E-3 right now and like them. I hit grooved roads in New Mexico, and although the tires did track a little, it was not as bad as with other tires. When I bought mine a couple months ago, I was told that the rear is only available in a 130. It's not a problem, just a little smaller than I would like.

Yesterday riding with Nige's group through the mountains near Winter Park, they had rotomilled big groves in several of the sharp turns, it's bad enough on the straights, but coming around those curves was interesting!

Yesterday riding with Nige's group through the mountains near Winter Park, they had rotomilled big groves in several of the sharp turns, it's bad enough on the straights, but coming around those curves was interesting!

Then add cross winds and rain. I ran into some of that too on top of the grooved roads. My butt cheeks got tired from squeezin' the saddle. I rode as slow as I felt comfortable and could remain relaxed, which made it worse because everyone kept passing me and splashin' me.

The joys of a road trip.
