Dedicated CVO Customer Service Hotline.
« on: August 18, 2008, 01:16:09 PM »

OK, here goes, for the most part we are all having engine concerns that so far the MOCO has not resolved.
We need and much deserve, a dedicated CVO Customer Service Hotline.

This Hotline should be manned by a knowledgeable and enlighten individual to handle our problems in a VIP manner.
Lip service is only good in the bedroom.

Ciao,
Ron

Folks have commented for years on this site how they think CVO owner's should get better and more exclusive treatment by the MoCo and the dealers.  Other manufacturers of products or purveyors of services have such things as dedicated hot lines and special clubs for their top tier customers, but there is one huge difference between those companies and the MoCo, at least in my experience.  Those other companies actually care about customer satisfaction and highly value those high dollar customers.  Harley just looks at us as a bunch of suckers who would probably buy a broken down mule for $30k if it had Harley-Davidson branded on it (and some chrome bits and pieces of course).

If you want to avoid the headaches and heartaches, just send your $30k directly to Willy G. and tell him to keep the damned bike.  Maybe he'll send you a nice chromed coffee mug with a CVO logo or something.

I disagree that we should be treated in some way special compared to any other rider on the road.  We should all be treated with more directness and honesty than we are and not assumed to be lemmings at the HD Idiot Trough.  Sportster or SEUC shouldn't make any difference.  Don't want special service.  Just want honest and effective service across the board.

I agree to a point. If we had our own straight line to the MOCO some other idiots (non CVO) would get a hold of it. So I think that anyone who buys a CVO should understand, that the motor is a POS and must be rebuilt from the ground up if you intend to keep the bike!!!!!!

Big Corporate cutting cost to try to save a buck. IMHO the CVO's should come with a bullet proof lower end from the get go. I would ask for more but this is already asking for tooooo much!!!!!

Dawg, the excitement of my new purchase is CTD.
I don't think it's asking to much for a piece of equipment that's pushing $40K with T&L to work.
If the MOCO can not recognize these truths, then they are doomed to go the way of Detroit.

Thank you for the response.

Victory has already surpassed HD in total sales and their bikes are getting better.

Huh? :confused5:  H-D's 2007 sales were $5.7 billion.  All of Polaris was less than $1.8 billion, with Victory motorcycle sales only making up $113 million of that.  Harley made up 48% of the North American market last year with the Japanese manufacturers covering another 44% between the four of them.  Victory is somewhere in the remaining 8%.

Maybe I'm missing something in your statement? :nixweiss:

Well bib boy there is another way for corporate to see that there is a problem........Don't spend your hard earned $30-40,000 on their POS bike.
If no one buys their product, then they will realize  that their own greed has backfired on them.

But here is the problem....
     1- we can't do it
2- if we are seen on anything other than a Harley, our buddies might make us feel like we have little dick syndrome
3- we can't do it....we talk a big game....but just can't back it up.....just like little dick syndrome

So we will bitch about.....
1- Paying over MSRP....but still pay it
     2- Inferior made products....motors....chrome peeling.....etc....
3- A MOCO that does not listen to us.......

I am sure that I have missed about a million other reasons we bitch about our Harleys....but then again what else would we do.....talk about extended warranties  :nixweiss:

Was wondering if anyone else caught that?

Might as well ask about the other line.

Better than what?
Better than they use to be? well I hope so, I wouldn't have bought one of those original dogs on a bet. (Well maybe if Don threw in 103T's SEEG or SERG to seal the deal.)

Always wondered why people laughed when I rode the scooter!
I figure they thought I had a DUI.
Thanks Brian, now I know!

Whenever I go out of town with the boat, I take my goped electric scooter.

Some of the people on the other boats think the same thing....DUI :drink: :confused5:
