Last night I was on my way home from work and struck of all things a wild Turkey.  I was cruising about 55 - 60 mph and saw a big a s s turkey jump out of the ditch and I started to slow up...knowing that another one had to be coming out.  Sure enough WAM!  Blood, guts, everywhere all over my bike, and me.  It was sick. 

I never felt like I was going to loose control of the bike, but I absolutely felt the hit.  The turkey I hit was a smaller one...Thank God.  If I had hit the 1st one that jumped out...it may have knocked me off balance.  I did not take any pictures of the bike or the turkey… All I wanted to do was get the junk off my bike, and me.  When I got home my wife was like "oh my god are you OK” I told her I was fine and then we went out and looked at the bike...no damage just blood and guts all over the front wheel and forks.  It was just under the headlamp.  NASTY...

Cleaned the bike with some soap and water...good as new.  As for my pants and shirt…well we will see.  Washing them a second time.


I think my next strangest thing would be a buddy hit a bat once and it just about caused him to come off of his bike.  Struck him in the face.  That was bad.  I busted his face up good.


And your underpants???

JD - Not exactly a blind hog but have been in a state more than once where seeing was not an option.

2LR - In "O Brother Where Art Thou" George Clooney acts like a goofy goober.  Much like he acts when he is not in a movie, except then he doesn't know how goofy he is.
A good flick - based loosely on "The Odyssey".  Bedenwrecker ....yep I can use that line somewheres......... ;D

Now have copies of Fargo and O For Whateveritwas and extra popcorn and a school teacher all scheduled for the evening.  Absolutely no joy on scoring pumpkin ice cream though.

Most recently....a ground hog that cost me a SEEG front fender.  Previously 2 large dogs (one was already dead, black and at night.....never saw it until the bike and I were shot straight up and over), a Cardinal in the face (they're notorious for fluttering up out of the side ditches in front of your, bees, wasps,etc. & assorted objects/obstacles while riding impaired in my younger/crazier dayz......and then there's the story of the HOG TRUCK in the rain on 301 that night.....but, that'll have to wait for another GTG parking lot evening.  :-[ har!  :drink: spyder

Jock and I did not hit it but.......At about 5 am this morning we had to take evasive action to miss a umbrella in the middle of Interstate 95 in New York City
