No Gary, that was BCVO.  Before the red bike on a Road King I had.  In Minnesota not far from the int'l border.  Was weird because I must've seen the carrier wiggle a little and not fully realized.  Because I had a feeling that something was squirrely.  Had dropped back a bit and fudged as far over in the line as I could.  That's probably what kept me from hitting the container itself.

Swarm of Bees, in my helmut and in my jacket. Hard on the brakes to the shoulder. Probably looked kind of funny dancing around on the side of road trying to get my jacket off. Only too stings on neck and rist.
Riding ATV's in Elk Island Park a bee flew up my nose, that hurts, eyes were almost swollen completly shut within a few minutes. took a half hr to get back to the truck.
Last I hit a crow at 90 miles per hr. Hit my left shoulder and I almost came off the bike. Upper left chest and shoulder turned multiple shades of black and blue. two days later to cap off the ride it snowed on the way home. Awe but they're great memories now. sort of  :-\

A claw-hammer.

Didn't see it till the last second and was too late to swerve. When I hit it I heard this clack-clack-clack sound. I thought, Oh crap,  the hammer is wedged between the tire and front fender and tearing the heck out of my bike. I stopped as fast as I could. Looked down, and what had happened was the hammer had ripped the spring off my jiffy stand and the stand was flapping up and down. I was afraid to ride  it like that for fear the flopping jiffy stand would wreck me.  I was afraid to set the bike on the jiffy stand because I wasnt sure if it would hold the bike up without the spring ( later found out that it would stay up without the spring). I was by my self, so I called my son on my cell and waited on the side of the road sitting atop the bike holding it up for 30 minutes until he came and taped the jiffy stand up with electrical tape so I could ride the bike home. We found the spring on the side of the road, as well as a perfectly good claw hammer. The spring was heck putting back on. I now carry electrical tape and a few zip ties in my windshield bag in case it ever happens again.

In case it happens again?   :apple:  You could run over that hammer 1,000 times and it wouldn't happen again.  But i'm glad you're prepared.

What is the strangest thing that you have hit while riding?   ???

Cleaned the bike with some soap and water...good as new.  As for my pants and shirt…well we will see.  Washing them a second time.

Normally I'd say  :worthless:, but on this occasion

I'll not bother

Just had a entirely brilliant and semi-sober half wonderful safety idea.  Kick stands need to a backup magnet attached.  So if the spring stretches (or gets yanked off by a claw hammer) they won't rattle.  The Kickstand Big Ass Magnet (the K-BAM!) for your riding safety :coolblue: .

I was riding behind someone last week and when they put their leg down to point out a dead possum in the road to the group behind, they inadvertently kicked it.  It only moved about 10 feet, in pieces.  I gave it a 7 out of 10 on the Road Kill Kicking Scale (RKKS).

Years ago was following a guy who kicked a skunk accidentally.  Guess he threw those boots away.

It's another one of those Secret Initial Societies (SIS) deals, JD.  The SIS is responsible for making up initials for all kinds of crappola & then rarely explaining what the initials really stand for.  Most of the SIS employees are former federal folks "who are here to help us".  Their heads are chock full of initials & they don't know what else to do with them.  Not sure if they include KY due to the initial problem potential with those 2.   :huepfenlol2:

Just recently I was leading a group of riders in the WTFAWT? (Where the F**k Are We Tribe?) and we almost got lost.  Go figure?   :nixweiss:
