PC = Personal Computer

A Mac is in fact a PC.  With that in mind, maybe the question should be rephrased as "Do you use Windows or Apple OS".  And let's not forget Linux.  And btw, the reason there is much less malware with the Apple OS isn't due to some inherent superiority, it's due to the fact that Apple has such a tiny percentage of the market that the malware folks don't spend much time writing stuff for that system.  More bang for the buck going after the guy with over 90% of the market.

I do like Apple's advertisements, and I agree that it is the technically superior system.  Of course, that was also true of Beta, but VHS was the video tape standard for how long?  Unfortunately (or fortunately if you're Microsoft or Harley-Davidson), being the best doesn't automatically equate to sales and market share.

I like smartwhois.  I do have open ports for remote access to my boxes.  The question is can you see them?
It helps me to know how secure my netwok is,  thanks.

scanned you and hit what IANA is calling a blackhole...172. address.  If you have ports open they must be really high up, got bored waiting and canc'd it.

Got one of "my boys" still hunting you however.  Check your firewall, you should have seen a plethora of activity around 2 today.

I know better than opening none administrative ports or allow fractional packets to get through.  Some of the very well known ports can be reassigned for different purposes.
I wait until Sunday night then I'll change my IP and tell you what ports are open.   :morningcoffee:
