Finned headbolt bridge set
« on: October 12, 2008, 10:46:51 PM »

The spark plug is offset on the 110 more than a 96 head by a several mm. The plug wire boots clear without any problem and looks fine. I sprayed them with Dupli-Color DSFM 225 Med. Charcoal (5oz rattle can) I purchased from NAPA for $5.49 and wiped off the fins with a rag and a little laq. thinner.

Nice job Highway. I was wondering if the Moco was going to release them in granite. Don't have to worry about or wait on them now.

The Paint has held up perfect with no problems. A few people have asked how they held up. I have about 25K on the bike :2vrolijk_21:

Done.  Thanks Highwaystar!

Dried the paint in the oven at 255* for half hour.  Seems hard as a rock.

Is this paint something I should expect them to have in stock?  I can't find that DSFM 225 number anywhere, including Duplicolor's website.  What type of paint is it?  High heat?  I haven't called NAPA yet, but everytime I call them for anything, and I think I am prepared with all numbers they will need, their numbers are completely different and they have no concept of what I am calling them about.  I want to make sure I can find the paint before I grab a set of the bridges.

One other question...do they have to be removed to take the plugs out.  I had the chrome ones on my last bike and they had to be removed to get at the plugs.

1.   Is this paint something I should expect them to have in stock?  I can't find that DSFM 225 number anywhere, including Duplicolor's website.

     1.   The paint was in stock at Kragen Auto Parts.  Duplicolors's web site is not the easiest to navigate but it is there.

     2.    It was auto paint for trim.  Not high heat but seems to work fine.

     3.   No.  There is room for a spark plug wrench with the bridge on.  Had these on my "04 RG with no problem.
