Awesome pics Terry. Gotta get down that way to see first hand. Whadyathink of the ride on your new scoot. Got enough miles for a comparative analysis?
North Alabama is beautiful, Howie....South of where I live, it's just farmland 'till you get to the Gulf, then beautiful beaches to be enjoyed...only 4 hours from my house.
The bike only has about 1500 miles on it, but so far, I love the bike. Like any other bike, I've got to make it mine...have begun that process with the windshield, seat, and a few other trinkets. The bike handles really well...tracks like it's on a rail, and is easy to pitch over into a turn. The suspension is good...not great...but good. Better than my HD was in stock form, but not as good, of course, as after I had done the Traxxion, etc. But Traxxion does Star bikes too, and there's this nice little Ohlin unit with remote adjustable preload I've got my eye on. The stock tires are Bridgestones...they are noisy, but offer a nice ride. The rear is an oddball size...Avon Cobras will go on when these wear out, unless some better offering comes out between now and then. Stock exhaust has a nice deep note to it, so it's staying. Hydraulic clutch, so no surprises there...very good brakes. The engine is very nice, with lots of low end grunt, and plenty there when you need it for a quick pass. There's more in there, and wouldn't take much to get it out...just some more air in, and a PCIII/tune. That will be the last thing I do, as there is plenty there now, with it being a 113" out of the crate. It likes to run between 60-80mph, which suits me fine...will hit tripple digits in a heartbeat when you want it to.
