  Thanks.  I'll go over to OTIS's tonight, and take some more shots of the K-40 Detector, and post on Monday, if anyone would like to see them.  Pretty neat set-up.  Personally, I haven't seen another product even close to it.  JMO.  Later--HUBBARD

  Pictures of K-40 Radar Detector LED light in chrome case.  The faster it flashes, the closer you are to Radar.

since the right hand mirrow is the same thickness as the left (with the radar detector inside), it could be a good place to stash your valuables, huh?  :-/ Har!  spyder

after another ticket im considering a radar detector. how about the bell rx65 or the escort 8500 x-50? any mounting ideas? [smiley=banana.gif]

Another consideration would be getting something water tight. I to had thought about getting a radar detector (even though they are illegal in Va. [smiley=oops.gif]), and had checked the Escort website (BTW - they are the makers of the H-D one). They didn't have anything that I could find that was watertight (they had a expensive remote setup however) so I quit looking. I know at one time there was a hidden system (sorry don't know who it was by) that the alerts were in the mirrors and the detector was mounted/hidden somewhere.
