My lovely wife is also lactose intolerant.  I should report her to the Lactose Anti-defamation League maybe.......

Have not read AI in years.  Most cycle mags are more about advertising revenues with accompanying favorable reviews from what I used to read years ago.

Renea bought that pub for me some years ago.  Never thought much of it, so never renewed.  Nothing helpful.  Much better stuff here.

I cancelled my subscription earlier this year when C.M. berated somebody (one of us me thinks) who had written in to the letters section and mentioned a"survey" taken amongst (love that word) CVO 110 owners and at the high number of failures. Instead of answering the question, Chris went after the letter writer about what would be considered a valid survey and what justifies a high number of failures. If I remember correctly, his investigation went as far as to ask a few wrenches that he knows, and surprisingly they had no knowledge of the problems. He really knows who butters his bread. Now to double dip onn the issue,' they blast it across the top of their cover to try to suck a few more, putzes I think was the word, in to buying the issue like they were going to dispel (another good word) some shocking truths. He's as bad as the Moco. I was curious then and I am now about the author of that letter- any guilty consciences out there? Well good for you!! You want the truth bout HD, just log on here. I'd believe what I read here from my busted knuckle bros rather than that hamster cage liner mag! I agree Hoist, FAI!

I still subscribe to American Ironing, it's not perfect, but not much is these days.  I get about 5 motorcycle mags.  Over 90 percent is advertisements.  MAYBE 10 percent is news.  But that's all I can find.  Still, what are your options?  Thank God for the CVO website!  You'll learn more here than anywhere else.   :cucumber:  That's a fact Jack

I like Easyriders for the pictures!  If you get more than one magazine per month, the run the exact same product reviews, rally stories, etc.  You might as well get to see a few tattoos and such.

Has anyone ever noticed that many of the new products that are written about in the magazines have already been discussed here? Another example of the internet delivering content quicker than print media.

I took American Iron until a few years ago.  I upped my subscription, sent a check.  They cashed the check, but said I never paid them.  They wanted me to get copies of the check and send to them to prove I paid.  I said to h3ll with it.  I don't have time for that chit for 20 bucks.  Told them to stick it .  The only bike mag I take anymore is hot bike bagger.  It is somewhat objective, so far.

That's why I stopped reading Money magazine 20 years ago, by the time you read to buy some new stock, the price was jacked up and you bought it when people started dumping it.

Forums/blogs react so quickly to news & events that it has become difficult for newspapers & magazines to keep up.  They have become encyclopedic in comparison - the breaking stuff is on the web & then they document it.

This forum is far & away the best source of all things Harley.  The truth usually appears better here through any BS also - that does not always occur in other media.  Open idea exchanges get to the heart of the matter much more effciently than advertising (lobbying) influenced opinions, IMHO.  Plus I read it on the internet so it must be true.  ;)
