There is no way to get your fingers up there. Looks like the amplifier is right up against the bracket.

Let's just clarify here for others.  It sounds like you are trying to take you license plate or license bracket off...not the rear reflector under the turn signals.  I assume that if there's an amp back in the way, you must have a SEUC???  Your profile doesn't tell what bike you have, which can make answering questions a bit difficult.  I know that I got a chrome license frame, and took one look back there, and since my bike was in the shop at the time, I just told them to throw that on too.  Which means, I'm not much help, since I saw how tight it was and went the chicken chit route and let the dealer put it on for nothing.  I'll be paying attention here though, as I have a new plate coming for my bike in the next few weeks and I'll have to deal with this issue then.  I did take another look at it, and it looks like you should be able to get a wrench in there.  Again, I'm making an assumption on what bike you have and still no clue what year either.  It does look like the 09 SEUC from the little picture on the side, but those pics are small and I've been known to guess wrong.

I have a 2009 CVO SEUC. When I go in for my 1000 mile check up I'll let the dealer put the top two screws in. What a dumb design. If anyone knows how to get the top two nuts on please let us all know if does not include taking apart the back of the bike.........

I just saw elsewhere in another post where you removed the rear reflector...really cleans up the rear of the bike.  One thing I did find out was that many, if not all states, require that you have one reflector on the rear of a motorcycle.  That's why I got the license frame that I put on...it has a reflector built into the frame and now I'm legal again.

That reflector looks like it's yellow in the pic, but it's actually red.

I have the stock reflector I could put on the licence plate frame if needed. For now I'll leave it off until I get caught. This is my 6th Harley and I have removed every one with no problem. Over 300,000 miles and no tickets.

I didn't really figure that I'd get caught with that one, but that was the same frame I had on my last bike and I liked it, so I killed 2 birds with that one.

finished...anyone have an idea to make the wires less visible?
Can you tell it's snowing here and I am suffering from cabin fever?  I know this is as worthy of pictures as a "how to install your licence plate"

Hi Guppytrash.

Would you (or anyone else who's removed theirs!) like to sell me the reflector?    :)

Those friggin' ....crash bar stickers get in my craw.

Especially since the MoCo obviously employ blind people to stick them on very squint!  >:(

Anybody found an easy method to remove them?  I've taken them off my last four bikes with a craft knife, and no matter how careful you are, the chrome always gets slightly marked.  Tried a hot air gun, tried solvents, no luck.
