Did he just check the rear wheel alignment, or did he check the vehicle alignment?

Cool! [smiley=beerchug.gif]  Sounds like you're covered!  If they started messing with the links, just wanted to be sure the Ride-Str8 had been disconnected first, otherwise you could have some binding or stresses there that could cause problems down the road.

I forgot to mention that there is a little tool that comes with the laser alignment tool kit to measure the alignment of the swingarm before you start the alignment process on the wheels which starts the whole process and takes just a few seconds to do.  Mine was spot on before I started for the rear swing arm so the end result I believe is fully aligned in accordance with the manual by Harley and the any adjustments allowed by the front mount and the top mount are verified.   [smiley=banana.gif] JP

Purchased a manual lift and the laser alignment kit from BBVR performance directly for 500 shipped to my house.

This is an ubsurd price to pay versus paying HD to do the work but I am certifiably nuts about letting them touch my bike and I did not like the string thing or any other methods that I saw so what the heck.    It is a neat tool and works very well.

If any CVO owners are in my area and want to come by the house and put the thing on their bike just for grins, I would be happy to help them.  I also got a digital protractor inclinometer that measures the vertical position of the brake rotors to within .1 degrees for 80 shipped from Amazon

. . . . I also got a digital protractor inclinometer . . . .

Sounds like something you'd find in a doctor's office. [smiley=nervous.gif]
