Dan,
Just got back from 3,400 mile trip to and from Sturgis.  We rode in rain, wind, high winds, sun, clouds, sleet, more rain and more winds.  My wife/BSR was completely happy with the Cee Bailey (just buy it 1 or 2 inches higher than they recommend).  She had no bad winds or buffetting and never once mentioned any issues due to the windscreen.  I would buy another Cee Bailey today if needed.  As for me, the only time I felt any buffetting was with some of the cross winds on the plains, but no windscreen will stop that side wind stuff.  Windscreens are definitely personal preference, but for looks and performance on the road, I'm sold on Cee Bailey as is my BSR.  For around town and below 60 mph, KW is the best.

Hope that helps Dan.  Email me if you want more discussions, timaingram@hotmail.com

Quit wasting your money and time. WindVest is the answer. I tried them all. Some are ugly but work and some are the opposite scenario. I got tired of the turbulence of the "snow mobile shields" like KW an CB and I can't stomach "big ass Ugly Vetter style shields. To me this is the best looking and best performing. You get air but it does't bite. :drink:

6' Tall ... Windvest has less buffeting than the KW. I own both. Windvest is wider and softens the air stream more for what air there is coming over the top. I prefer the 10" for looks. The 12" will offer additional protection. Windvest also looks the best to me. :drink:

But the angle is too straight up , at high speed you get a kind of swing that let the bike become uncontrolable at the front end .
Now i am testing the CV GT stock , received it yesterday .

I have the Cee Baily 14 on my bike now, it looks good, but its not so good after 55  mph.

I just ordered the Clearview GT stock in light tint today.  John was real nice and helpfull.  I sure hope I like this one.

The CV GT stock seems to be a fuxxing good working shield , just made a small ride and no buffeting around town speed at 6.1 with 33 ins..... and the 1" higher signature seat it works very good so far and i still can look over the top .
I will see how the bike react at highspeed .
Hope it will stay in line and the swimming has gone with this flat angled shield .

Could you measure that shield from the top of the tach mounting to the top of the shield and let us know what it is?  That would give us an idea of how tall it is compared to others we might have.

Windvest handles great at 100 plus. very stable. 120 felt solid earlier today. For some reason the local sport bikers like to gaze at my tail lights.  :drink:

It is written on their website http://clearviewshields.com/shop/ named as vertical height , exactly what you want to know , but i will measure it tomorrow , no problem .

Ok, that's what I wanted to know.  Found it on their site---should have already known that as I've been to their site before.

Sounds good and promising for me when I recieve mine, but I had heard and thought the same about the CB 14

So did i , and the CB 15 did not work for me , extreme buffeting , sold it after 2 weeks tested .
The WV 12" was not bad in buffeting but too straight up for highspeed , the bike becomes swimming and getting uncontrollable .
The CV GT stock now seems to have the best performance for me , Let`s wait and see whether the satisfaction stays .

I love my CB, and I think this just reinforces the uniqueness of each of us or something sappy like that.  I just wish ALL the manufacturers would let us test things like this before buying.  Oh well...
