there is no big secret in handling bikes easily around no matter how heavy they are (our boys sell Boss Hoss too

).
It's just confidence and practice - as with most other sports.
Have two friends assist you at first and just start. Try to balance the bike standing upright and hold it with just one fingertip. Stop worrying as your friends first hold the bike, than just step aside for some inches, finally for yards. Then start moving it the same way, first everybody holding the bike later leaving you alone but ready to assist any second. Just get used to it, use every stop to practice. After some time you just stop thinking about it and it get's easier and easier and finally it will be just normal. It's not a matter of strength or hight but of balance. You will never get anywhere if you use the kickstand-workaround or any other cheating - just make a sport out of it and you will succeed

After all: there is no serious harm to be expected if the bike falls (as long as no part of your's is under it

). On the contrary - it's your chance to practice picking it up

And afterwards it's just a good feeling to be able to handle your own bike in any situation whatsoever, not just in sunny weather and on straight roads.
Honestly, I'm not the muscle-type myself and after succcessfully surviving my 50'th birthday I seem to develop a certain general dislike of physical adentures. But I make a point of needing no assistance when moving around or picking up my own bike - call it a matter of pride if you like
