Thanks, Duane.  I ordered Oetiker P/N 1099, which has front and side pincers, from http://chadstoolbox.com.  $26.99.  Ended up going through parts manuals for both bikes and ordering stepless clamps by H-D P/N from http://www.chicagoharley.com.

I think I got the same pliers off of eBay for about the same price.

What stinks is somewhere around here I have a pair, different style though. The pair I have have the jaws like yours along with a small shoe on a cam in between the jaws. As you squeeze the clamp the show presses against the clamp to keep it from pinching "up" towards the pliers.

I think they are with Don's push rods.

I just ordered several clamps through Chi Town today.

I love that store.  I ordered clamps, a fuel tank boot, some cable retainers, V logo pax floorboard covers (FLHR), and V logo fender skirt (FLHR) from them last night.  I get just about all my stuff there.  If I see something I like in a dealership, I write down the P/N and order it from Chi Town.  Great place.  Every now and again I get lucky and find 11105 o rings on ebay (scored 190 of 'em a ways back for around $20.00), derby cover gaskets (scored 5 last night for $20.00), and inspection cover gaskets.  I think I have enough stuff like that to service both bikes beyond 100K miles.

I got the pincer P/N from Rod.  Not sure if it has the cam or not, but every Oetiker Rod has replaced on my bikes has a perfect pinch, so I'm thinking I'll be good to go.

I'm guessing you had to order an oil pan gasket and perhaps the 62726-99 hoses with Oetiker clamps as well.  Does the DD6 come with the Baker oil fill spout, or do you use the stock one with a spacer.......or is a spacer even necessary with a DD6?  I'm really liking the one that came with my OD6.  Don't have to worry about the stock dipstick popping out anymore like it used to.

With the DD-6 ;you don't need to space out the filler spout

but

If you need to remove the starter, the spacer would make it alot easier

Whats that?

I think just for that little bit of bravado you should send me 15-20 or ...........  ;D

Didn't even think about that - and those primaries.

I'm guessing you had to order an oil pan gasket

I didn't order it because originally I didn't need it, you don't have to remove the pan to do the work - unless of course you go and break the damn case (I'll be posting an update over there soon).
The Baker kit comes with three gaskets, two sides and a top.

and perhaps the 62726-99 hoses with Oetiker clamps as well.

Orderd 8 clamps and didn't get the hoses, didn't think I would need them, that was before I tried taking them off, buggered them up on the edges just enough that I may change them out..

Does the DD6 come with the Baker oil fill spout,
or is a spacer even necessary with a DD6?

Does not come in the kit and they claim it is not necessary. I'm hoping it is not needed, I would not want to have to carry a funnel with me and deal with that mess. Aside from the stage 1 and cam that is all the bike will have for a while. Never used the temp indicator stick because of it's problems and never had a problem with my dipstick - yet.

Below is a picture of the pliers with the cam, I know it is a crappy picture but if you look close - the silver piece between the jaws is the shoe, the black spot in the middle is a slot. As the jaws close around the clamp the shoe "cams" towards the jaw and keeps the part you are squeezing parallel to the clamp.

Does that make sense?

These are teh pliers I have and can't find  :nixweiss: Maybe on the boat  :nixweiss:

Just noticed the the PDF's I posted look like crap when viewed - They were "printed" as a pdf file from a pdf  :nixweiss:

If anyone actually need the written info I'll see if I can re post it.

Both were taken from the free CD catalogs, Fatbook and V-Twin
