GRC,
You had asked about gas mileage. Got in the original tank I did testing on last Saturday and another 150 mile ride tday.
Mileage on my originanal tank during the ECM swap was 40.14 mpg. Lots of full throttle pulls, hard roll-ons. Trip today was 37.7, two up about half the trip was freeway at 80 mph and the rest was a mix of moderate riding over varied backroads with a group of about 50, so there was some occasional hot rodding.
Had the hiccup happen several times, but got more information to help resolve it. Starting the bike, hit first time and never died, This is different from last weekend where it started and then died then restarted. Also noticed whenpulled up to a light, the idle was a little high, probably 1000 to 1050 rpm for about 10 to 15 seconds, then would settle down to 950, according to the tach. Not sure for the variances in idle, but this occurred with the original ECM as well, so mayhe IAC plunger or TPS os on one edge of the spec or borderline tolerance. Also noticed another thing, the low fuel light didn't come on - first tank took 5.1 gallons,so it should have been on. Will add it to the list for the dealer to check when I take it in for some works
Finally go thru the problems wth getting the notebook (CD went out Monday, Hard drive went Thursday night) over the last few days and now can get an actual look at the settings and triggers in the software. Will start with the IAC checks as outlined in the instruction manual and see what happens.
Will keep updating
Jim
