Bagger... whew!

Allot of drama there in your posts. [smiley=soapbox.gif] Makes for good reading, but I really think a cooler thought process might help you out.
Those who have been following this issue know it is not an issue with ALL '06 SEUCs and is often difficult to see it. Harley didn't see it, the dealers didn't see it, and purchasers didn't see it. From the time the pieces are painted until the retail sale, the bikes rarely see daylight... going from building to building by truck and by box. Ultimately some owners did notice as they began cleaning and waxing their bikes and getting them in bright sunlight. The picture you posted is one taken in bright direct sunlight. My point is, you mentioned more than once the inspection was done on an overcast day and that was probably the wrong thing. The first step in dealing with a customer's concern is to verify the condition exists and if the rep couldn't see it, he would've been wrong to authorize replacement just because you say so.
I recall there were instances early on where confirmation of the condition WAS difficult. Even by dealers, and often factory reps were asked to make inspections. Some paint was buffed with good results, some not so good. Some parts were replaced and looked better, some didn't. I recall a post where all the painted parts from one bike were sent to H-D for inspection. Eventually they were able to identify the condition, the cause, and the cure.
Instead of insinuating threats like: "
I know who you are. I know your name. I have your phone number.
I could display your name and phone number for all to see." why not ask for another inspection? But agree that it be done under the conditions that would best suit your claim... SUNLIGHT. 8-) Maybe also request the dealership owner, GM & service manager take part.
If you guys still can't agree, ask the dealer to submit forms for a PRB hearing and maybe even offer to send in some of the parts you think have the problem.
Hope things work out.
Ride Smart!
PS. had to come back and correct my spelling. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
