Called customer service again. Talked with John about replacing my tank. He says its gone as far up the food chain as it can go and they will not replace my tank. The factory rep says that nothing is wrong with it and it meets the paint guidelines. I am writing another letter and including photos. Does any know of a any other address other than the one at 3800 Juneau AVE? Or does any one have a contact further up the food chain above customer service. Look at the attached picture and tell me if you can see a difference in color between my tank and saddle bag. This is my first Harley and I am really disappointed with the whole experience. I always heard the rumors I guess they are true.
2up, Dude.......that is unacceptable. I ran into the same resistance with the area rep. I asked to speak with his boss at the MOCO, and as expected, when I spoke with him, he supported his area rep, however, that same evening the area rep called me back, and asked if he could look at my bike again. We made arrangements, and he looked at my bike with me in bright sunlight and saw that there was a problem. He ordered replacement parts. That was Nov 2, 2006. I just got everything replaced last week and picked it up Saturday. Everything is good to go now, but it took plenty of phone calls and lots of letter writing.......amongst a good bit of controlling my temper. I wanted to unload, BAD........so I unloaded here, and kept a cool head when in the presence of the area rep, and when on the phone with the MOCO. Persistence paid off. Don't quit. I was told that I was not going to get new skins. I got them, and you can too. Just be the squeaky wheel. Don't quit. Never give up, and you'll get what you're after. At least you didn't have to deal with Phillip at MOCO customer service.
