Picture five is with the brakes applied... Really a huge improvement in visibility and thanks to Terry's great instructions, it was relatively simple even for me.  :-?

Trust me Jeff, the length of time it took me to do it would be considered... unreasonable... ;)

Nice job, Bob....looks really good on the bike, and I know both you and Ilene will feel much safer now!! To me, it looks like it grew there...I've had every person I've run into who has an SEUC ask me about mine...even the local dealer wanted to know all about it...I told 'em I would come down and do installs for $350 bucks a pop, but for some reason they didn't seem interested....[smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Can't remember who came up with this idea in the first place, but it sure was a good one!! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks Terry,

All the chrome we're all so crazy about looks good and we love it but this add-on actually adds a lot of visability to our bikes and looks good at the same time!

I think FR8TRN was the first to bring the subject up but you may well have been the first to put it on the tourpak instead of the mount underneath.

Thanks Ed.

I already have one on the trailer Ed, it's built into the lid.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  The good thing about the new one is it will be visible when towing the trailer!  All the stock lights are hidden.

Rode a couple of hundred miles with Tbone today....his LED light bar on the tour pak is awesome!  It is both functional and good looking.....really picks up the red pin striping on his saddle bags.  Anyone who has a jester should seriously consider installing this.  Tbone's wife, Ilene, can tell you exactly how to do it correctly!! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  Sorry Bob but I could not resist

Nice job, and you are correct, it's not a quick job by any means.  At least we know it got done right!  Keeps me out of trouble killing a day in the garage! [smiley=drink.gif]

I had the HD dealer print out instructions for the saddlebag lights I have on order so I could see how they wired everything in.  They run the harness to the Aux plug under the seat which has one of the 4 pins tied to the brake light circuit.  Since I used the AUX plug for my Garmin, I just had to purchase the "Y" splitter for an additonal  outlet.  Should be "plug and play" when I get the lights in.

I think it was my idea so we would be more visible when night riding.   ;)   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Interesting to look back to see when this thread was started, [highlight]November 25th, 2005.[/highlight]  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] And the saga continues.  Maybe when HD starts to include these lights as stock, the updates won't be needed. ;)

Did the install today. All went fine. I cringed when I took the drill to the tour pack but it was flawless. I started to notch the hole but quickly relized that was not going to work.
