Did mine this morning, pretty good move for me. Still not sure if the wife is good with it.

Not sure if this helps anyone.......
The passenger floorboards are 3 piece
1. Floor board
2. Bracket for the  floorboard.
3. Bracket for the frame.

Move #2 to opposite side of bike, everything else stays on original side.

So are you saying that the floorboard itself stays on the original side?

Yes

Thanks Dick - so just the little horizontal adjustable arm that moves sides, so that it points backwards rather than forwards.  Now I understand!

I thought about doing that, but I thought my wife's feet would have to go way back, with a pretty severe bend in her knees....

As I stated before, not sure the wife is good with it. But her discomfort and our safety???  You have to weigh the differences.

She will get used to it.

Not sure I'd put it quite like that to my Mrs!  :D

That's not how I did it.  I took the whole bracket off the frame and switched sides.  (1) bolt on each side. Turned out great...

I thought you were changing the left board for the right. Sounds like your just changing the board bracked.

We need pics.  Anyone!

I have the adjustable passenger floorboard mounts on my SERG. When putting them together, I discovered that the floorboards will mount on either bracket. I originally had them on the bike so that the adjustable arm went toward the back, but this put the floorboard too far back when it was in the down position. Down position is necessary for my BSR because she is 5' 7".

Since I have the Rumble passenger floorboard inserts, the patter on the floorboard needs to match the rider floorboard, so I couldn't just switch the whole assembly from one side to the other.

So, I took the entire floorboard assembly off both sides, disassembled and reassembled so that the adjustment arm now pointed forward. Much better for my BSR. The whole process took about 30 minutes with the assembly instructions ("I-sheet") close at hand. If you don't have the I-sheet, your dealer can print it out for you or you can get it from the H-D website in the P&A section.

Of course, what I have done is the exact opposite of what most of you hear are talking about...

Alright, since no one else was taking any pics, I took the 2 below. These are both after-pics on my 2010 SEUC. Essentially this is a 5-10 min job. Leave the mount attached to the frame in place. Remove the 2 allen bolts on each side. Leave the floorboard on the ground on the side it started on. Take the horizontal portions of the bracket and swaps sides. The horizontal bracket will now position the floorboard BEHIND the main post attached to the frame and essentially move the floorboard about 6-7 inches rearward. Remember to use locktite when you reinstall the bolts.

The advantage as you can see from the pics is that the primary cover is no longer obstructed by the left floorboard (I do think this looks better). The transmission cover is also now visible without being obstructed by the right floorboard. Much easier arrangement for cleaning and if you plan for a chrome cover around the transmission (I do not have one yet), I think it will look alot better in this position than in the stock position. Also provides ALOT more leg room for the rider without having your calves bumping against the passenger floorboards.

The disadvantage is that the floorboards may not provide adequate foot support to your passenger. It all depends on their height and comfort level for their foot position. I put my 6' son on the passenger seat after making the adjustment and his size 13s fit ok. 75% of his feet were on the floorboard with the front 25% off. When the floorboards are in the stock position its the same deal only the 25% off is the heel area.

What works best is going to be based on your passenger. I plan to leave it this way until I have a passenger that complains (not likely to be soon given the amount of times I have a passenger on-board).  I hope this helps others on what is essentially a very simple mod to make and reverse if you don't like it.
