Sorry you had to go through all of that. I bet money that your nightmare is not over. Watch your bills closely. They'll send you to collections. They did it to me on a service I never ordered. Free 3 months on new car, Calling my office and telling my employees that I was past due and service was going to be turned off. I called and wanted to talk with a manager I'm still waiting (8 months ago). After that fiasco Terry got mad and did not renew the one on the bike, got sent to collections again, months of headaches, nerves on end, and just down right pissed at them.

Filed a complaint with the attorney general.

That is one business I would like to see go out, due to lack of customer service. They just don't care, and they laugh at you.

Emmm,  i had a similar experience last January, I sold a Toyota 4-funner and needed to disconnect that service and turn on another account on the Garmin XM on the bike. However I was able to do both transactions on their web page through my account. I'm surprised you weren't able to do the transactions on their web page :nixweiss:

I had the same problem cancelling my trial on my CVO, what a @#$&**(*^% nightmare!
I later cancelled both my cars, and that was a breeze. I got a human, told them why
and NO problems, I wanted the lifetime membership, like my buddy got, but the "human"
didn't know anything about that offer. It was about $450 per radio, with the ability to
change it on 3 cars, but "no"! Now I keep getting "please come back" emails, go figure!

Scott, read your story and couldn't fend off the desire to have a little fun.  I called XM asking to cancel a subscription I already cancelled about three years.  The little girl from far away was very confused.  Have to admit I did my best to add to the confusion.  It was fun.

Sounds like my experience with Dish Network.  Every since American companies have outsourced customer service to people from countries "far, far away" (good way to say it) the customer service sucks.  The bad part is the customer service reps are trained to say these things and trained how to handle the calls.

When I had trouble with my service with Dish Network the person (from far, far away)  was Extremely polite but kept on with the add ons and upgrades.  He also played dumb to my problems.  The nicer he was the more pissed I got.  I finally called tech service and got a Good Ol' American in West Virginia, he gave me the straight story and a reduced bill for 6 months for my trouble.

You may want to try calling for technical support and verify your request for cancellation has been done and that they cancelled the right subscriptions.

I have to say your story gave me a good laugh  :D- I feel your pain Bro - I guess this is why no one has invented a device to send an electric current through the phone line yet :o :-X :o :P

I lived this same nightmare 2 months ago when I turned in a lease car and trashed an old MyFi portable XM radio.  Like you, I was transferred through numerous "reps" whose sole job was to NOT let me cancel.  Again, like you, I held my rage as long as I could, but finally I had enough of Rajh's broken English telling me to please hold so he could transfer me to yet someone else who actually the power to cancel a subscription.  I was on the phone for 28 minutes (i checked my call timIer) for what should have been a 3 minute transaction!

I was fortunate i guess, when I got my next cc statement, there was a credit for the remainder of the years billing.  I still get emails every 3 days "wanting me back" as a customer.  Oh yeah - I'll sign up again for non-stop commercials on every channel I listen to!

I'm rippin' and burnin' my driving music to my MP3 player, and XM/Sirrius can kiss my big white rear-end.

To quote a legend - "There endeth the lesson"

I have Howies number if you want it.

Just kidding. ;D

Your experience is exactly why I don't have XM on my 09 SEUC.

But should you call Howie, just remember he can talk faster than me and you put together so don't stop talking till the story is done!

After a LONG, chity day, this was the laugh I needed!
Now y'all got me thinking I've got to check my credit card statements. I just saw a bill for $90 some dollars for the radar & 2 radios and have to make sure it's right.

When I signed up for the 90 day trial, I was expecting them to take a credit card from me, etc.  They only took my name and address, after making quite a few calls to find someone that was familiar with the Harley trial period.  After 90 days, my XM reception stopped (back in May).  I never heard squat from XM until I finally received a letter from them in July with important update information.  They still haven't tried to get me to subscribe and after hearing about the problems with cancelling, I think I'll pass.

Strange :confused5: I might be the minority here, but I actually like XM, ALOT. I also have the lifetime subscription on the bike. I have a fairly large CD collection and sometimes take CD's to listen to while driving my car, but my bike has never played a CD and neither the AM/FM portion of the radio has ever been used. To me the satellite stereo is one the "Highlights" of the bike. To each his own, I guess..

I have a collection of CD's with up to 200+ songs recorded in mp3 format on each CD.  I think you should try a CD in there since you've never tried one.  The quality far surpasses XM on it's best day.  The only time I used the XM was when I was using the Nav system, and since I don't use it all that much, I'm willing to listen to FM on those few occasions.  Maybe next year I'll add a Garmin and then I'll record my music on memory cards to play through the Garmin when in use.  The XM was better than FM, but a far shot from CD.

It is too bad that a company has to treat it's customers the way XM does.  I have experienced frustrations trying to deal with the far, far away phone staff, but I'm still very fond of the XM on my SEEG, truck, car, and even the computer.  Great for music variety to suit the 'mood'.  :pepper: :pineapple: :apple: :huepfenjump3: :orange: :bananarock: :huepfenlol2: :drink: har!  spyder

I have 3 subscriptions; the bike, Binx's car, and the house. I LOVE XM! I only have XM and MP3's on the bike, and listen to the XM most of the time. At home, we rarley ever listen to CD's anymore. Same in Binx's car. There's a station for EVERYTHING and EVERYONE! I pretty much listen to Classic Vinyl and Deep Tracks. :2vrolijk_21: ;)
