After riding a 2008 Heritage Classic for 32,500 miles my wife thought we should look at the 2010 SESG, we liked the Candy Concord color, and of course the 110 ci....What a woman....
Funny, my wife said the same thing, hmmmmmm :coolblue:

I went to have new tires and oil changed on my 08 anniversary edition FLHTCU and never brought it home when I saw the 09 silver/blue secu on the showroom floor!

I was just chatting with the wifey one day talking about how I was wanting a "new" bike but I didn't want what everyone else was riding...  I wanted something new and exciting and I told her when I saw a bike like that, I'd know it and buy it.

And low and behold while strolling around the stealorship just minutes after hanging up the phone with her, there it was, a 09 SERG in O/B.  Having never really been a fan of the Road Glide, this bike threw me for a loop.  It was way more than a Road Glide... this was an entirely different bike altogether.  The lines, hardware and promise of amazing power was all I needed to see.  I had to have her...    Just one small change though...

The O/B was just a bit too much color for me. I was afraid all that bright dazzling color would actually slow me down  :laugh4: Luckily I found this same machine in Silver (clearley the fastest color of them all) 40 minutes North at Rossmeyers's Ormond shop and they were willing to do a no cost swap between the Stealorships.  :bananarock:

A couple mods later and the Silver Surfer is complete.  This bike rocks!  Without question the best decision I have made in a long while.   :2vrolijk_21:

Thats a great color combo, but we never had one in the showroom to compare....after buying the "blue" one we had a chance to see the "red" one but it has so much gold in it it looks like a tint....you made a great choice....

EagleGlider, as I've said before, love your bike. It's my favorite bike from '09. LarryB's is the penultimate of the breed and yours is not far behind. You might get the nod from me though because of the name. The Silver Surfer has been my favorite comic character since college in the '70's. Own all the comics, including the original run from the '60's. You need to figure out how to add a little Marvel art to your scoot, even if it is under the seat or inside the saddlebags. Mod on!

That's an awsome suggestion. I too am an avid Silver Surfer fan and think you're idea is very cool.  I'm gonna have to really give this some serious thought....    Thanks!

I'm a Surfer fan as well, have been since I was a kid. When I got my Silver 05 Fat Boy I thought it would be fitting to get Silver Surfer on my license plate, but it was already taken. Oh well I could always put Norrin Radd on it.  ;)

I have kind of a funny story. First, I admit I'm a newbie. I'm a converted sportbike guy..........know tons about them.........Harleys not so much. But I decided to make the plunge. I wanted a Vrod. Had one picked out.......knew everything I was going to do to it...........agreed on a price for my trade in.........agreed on a price for the Vrod. Done deal........I thought... Well as I was waiting to talk to the "Performance Manager" about all the "stuff" I wanted to do to the Vrod.........there it was. I honestly had NO IDEA what it was........I just loved it. Well "it" turned out to be a 2008 CVO springer softail with $4500 worth of motor work done to it. I rode it...........I bought it. It was kinda like going to the dealership to buy a Ford truck..........and falling in love with a Ford Lightining without knowing what it was. I'm very happy.......it's quick (not sportbike quick.......but more then enough) and get's way more looks then I think the Vrod would have.

After riding my 02 Nighttrain for 2 seasons I felt I needed something that looked good with a windshield. The dealer showed me a New 04 Black/Blue SEEG that someone backed out of. I worked a deal and bought it. Loved it, 4 years and 40k miles later I sold it and once again I found myself trying to decide between a standard or a SE. Figured that I would have $10k into the standard and still only had a 96ci motor. So it was a no brainer. I took the wife to the Hog Shop to show her a SERG. The first bike we saw was a SESG, she really liked it. We spent some time looking at the 3 different colors of the FLTRX and then I led her over to the FLTRSE3 and BLING!!!!It was love at first sight. My wife said without a doubt this is the nicest bike they have on the floor.....Now its on our floor  :orange:

Road my late Dad's Sportster for 5 years while continuing to rack up miles on my '03 Buell Firebolt.  Did a bunch of customizing to the '91 Sportster and really enjoyed it but always knew I wanted a bigger Harley.  After riding a couple different "big bikes" started seriously looking.  In my search found on line the CVO and fell in love.  It was several thousand more than I was wanting to spend, but in the end figured......heck, you only live once. Still paying for it but have enjoyed every season since my purchase in 2004.  Found a bike at an Atlanta car dealership with 113 miles on it, and bought it for 6k less than new.  Never looked back, fall in love again each and every time I throw a leg over it.

PS- Still have the '91 Sportster!
