I loved the way the SESG2 rear fascia looked. I was planning on doing the mod to my 2009 Black Pearl SG. I was getting pricing on parts, paint, and wheels. I already had a lot of add ons and with the quote I got, I thought I might as well buy a new bike. Wife and I agreed if it didn't raise the payment over $100 let's do it. I Ordered a Black with crimson trace and was told it would be a couple of months before it came in. The dealer said to just keep the 09 and ride it until the new one came in. While at Bikes, Blues, BBQ in Fayetteville I saw a Orange and black CVO. Totally changed my mind. I called when I got back and found that another dealer close by had the bike I wanted on the floor. They wouldn't match the deal I had with my dealer but had a buyer wanting a Black one like the one I ordered. So a dealer trade was arranged but i still had to wait until my black bike showed up before they would release the orange one. Finally ended up with my bike on 11/2/2010. I drooled all over Willyb's bike for a couple of months waiting for mine to arrive. Definitely a beauty!

“Costly up front but big savings in the end”

I purchases a 2009 Screaming Eagle Road Glide Diamond Ice/ Star Dust new back in 09 I remember  way back when, the 1st road glide came out this was the ugly duckling of the Harley bikes to me and said I would never own one well guess what I bought one LOL back in 2000 the 1st Screaming Eagle Road Glide came out and it started to grow on me, I told my local Harley dealer “Cajun Harley Davidson” to let me know when they would come out with one again I told all my buddies if they find out that there coming back out with one to let me know. Well a buddy of mine was in Sturgis and went to the Harley tent and saw they had finally come out with one so he call me up that morning so I called my dealer to put me on the list they told me I was the 2nd one that morning to put a hold on one and that they where only going to get one bike of each color a total of only 3 bikes he ask me what color I told him the silver one and it was log down as mine boy was I glad I had called and put my name on it I went that after noon to the dealer they told me they had at least 10 calls for one. Well I’m very happy with my decision it’s all chrome out has the 110 ready to hit the road one of the good things no extra parts hanging around yes a little costly up front but big savings in the end.

Went looking for a denim black RG with plans to powder coat bars, forks, engine guard and upgrade the engine. I wanted a touring bike for traveling, and a bigger motor for two up  riding ant 900+lbs of bike. Drove over to Meridian,MS because my local dealer did not seem too interested in getting me the bike I wanted, nor were they interested in a fair trade value. It was a rainy day but for the short time I was in the dealership the sun came out and the silver SERG was in the front vestibule with the sun on that paint, I could not take my eye off that beautiful bike. I started doing the math for all the things I wanted, and not making the deal did not make since. Bought the bike the next business day, no great deals but full kelly blue book value for trade and MSRP for CVO.  MOST gratifying purchase I've ever made!

LoneCustom, this is a good strand that you started, because we all have good reasons for become CVO’s.  A salesman tried sailing me on a 07 SERK. I did not like the color and he wanted to sale it for the same price as the now release 08’s bikes, which were two months away form, the showroom floor.  I had been riding an Ultra that was chromed-out with a few modifications, and the same year that I purchased it I saw my first, the first Screamin Eagle Road Guide at an international bike show in Dallas, Texas.  From that moment the next bike that I purchased would be a Screamin Eagle.  It is nice to own something that you do not see on very corner.  The dealer told me that there was a blue bike coming in at the end of the September.  I thought it was the light blue color scheme, but when they pulled it out of the box it I saw that cobalt blue and fell in love.  After I got use to the new clutch I felt that I was king of the road.  I have ridden other bikes and it is possible that sense I am committed to this purchased I have convinced myself, but it is the best ride and handler of them all.  We pay an arm and leg for these elite machines and I am to poor to own one, but I feel like the king when in the saddle.

My Ultra was so dressed-out that I won a first place and best of show and a HOG Rally.  I have only won a second place with the SERK.  The judges did not know where to find modifications.  This year I am going for FIRST PLACE.

Could not agree more. The yellow Fatbob really got under my skin. Big engine in the lightest bike means real performance. Not so comfortable as the tuoring frames but it will outrun them.

Well lets see?? I saw on-line that Las Vegas Harley had an Autumn Haze / Antique Gunstock CVO Street Glide on the floor and wanted to get a look at it. So I get there and the CVO has a sold tag on it, which is ok just wanted to look. Realy was looking for a Black Denim 103 Street Glide. So i'm talking to the sales dude about the glides he has and mentioned I had come in to look at the CVO. He gives me the 411 on the CVO and i'm starting to get interested but as I said the one on the floor is sold. Then Tom (sales dude) drops the bomb he has a Black Diamond due in that is still available. Well now my intrests are piqued. So the decision 22K for a 103 or 32K for the CVO. Somewhere between the shop and home the decision was made CVO it is, that is if I can get the wife to sign off on it. I get home and pull up a pic on the computer and when the wife gets home I point and say "I want one" and the response was "ok". Now I have a deposit on one Black Diamond CVO Street Glide. Basicly it came down to go big or go home.......
