I have been trying to remember all afternoon but I seem to remember they included spacers with my seat and were in the box with an explanation that I seem to remember addressed this problem. I think I used them but it is kind of foggy. I realize that was only a couple of weeks ago but you have to remember, I lived thru the 60's and only have about 100 brain cells left. Staying awake and breathing take about 99 of them. I will check when I get home tonight, I kept the original box and instructions just in case I screwed something up and had to send back to Corbin to fix. Can you tell that is a regular concern of mine, well justified given my history. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
At least I am better than my neighbor, when I got the driving Motolights last week he came over to check them out and suggested to mount them on the back, Said "those will make great back-up lights plus when some a$$ will not dim their brights behind you, you can blow them away". Hey I thought about it too!
CHIT CHIT CHIT CHIT and double CHIT, those rubber spacers I remembered were on the u-bolt bracket for the CB handheld mount. Everyone was right, I will have to modify the seat. Twolane, thanks for the plan, I better get to work.

well i put mine on and it looks pretty cool. always liked the solo seat look. compared to the stock seat this thing is like sitting on concrete and it moves you back a little. i will try to ride it into shape and hope it breaks in. if not i may convert the stock seat into a solo stlye- ride safe!!

Vanamal, isn't that solo Corbin wider than the stock seat?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Even though it's harder, it should give you more support and that's where the comfort comes in for long days in the saddle.  It makes sense, if you think about a horse saddle's hardness but good shape for support.  That's my theory and I''m stickin' to it.  Har!  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] spyder

Van, if that seat doesn't work for you (before I buy one, sometime before my trip in June) let me know and I'll buy it from you.

By the way, you've got a PM from me!  What happened to you the weekend of Easyriders?  We called, emailed PM.......never heard anything back.....you alright? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Another question for you guys and Candy,
The backrest for the solo, How much forward adjustment does it have? Can it be laid over for the passenger to mount up with having to climb over it??
Thanks,Mark

MYCVO, on the Corbin solo that I have on the softtail, the backrest does not swing down as the Mustang one does.  It has more adjustment than the stock HD backrest on my '04 SEEG.  Of the two, I prefer the Corbin backrest for both comfort and looks.  JMO.  ::) spyder
