There is currently a bill in Va that passed committee that will allow concealed carry in restaurants/nightclubs however when carrying you can't consume alcohol beverages so this would eliminate the concern you have. This bill has been brought up several years in the past but never was able to get out of committee to go to the floor to be voted on.... this may be the year. :nixweiss:

I'm hoping it makes it thru here too. I can see potential savings when eating out. :D :D

Now d00d. I know and you know that the majority will drink regardless. Not saying you but the majority. We have had problems with correctional officers, police officers, a reverend (there with a couple lizards), and majority military. In the early 80's a guy came to the club following his ex. Ended up shooting killing her, her boyfriend was shot and wounded. right outside the front door with a shotgun. Then walked over to his car and shot himself while my father in law was standing there talking to him. Keep in mind our club has been open since 73. So we know our community. But you never know what a person will do. We will never allow guns in, If we even see a knife we make them put it in there car. While the majority would be safe. I don't trust 1 person other than myself.

And here you have to have a certain % of revenue in food sales to be considered a restaurant.

One of my companions...

I have a  3913 (no CCW in New Jersey though).

Had such a hard time grouping with it that I sent it back to  S&W to be inspected.
Also had to have the trigger guard relived as it was sharp enough to cut my finger with repeated use.

Not necessarily... those that have a concealed weapons permit (CWP) would risk loosing it if they were caught. IMO those that have them (CWP) would be more inclined to abide by that law to keep that privilege. I think the problem may be those that don't have permits and don't have to show proof of it when carrying in restaurants/bars. :nixweiss: The incident you mention in the '80's I believe that person would have done that no matter where he had found his ex.... it just happened to be in your club.

This may be true. Being we are located about 3 miles from a military base. I have seen MANY risk there career for whatever reason.  Now loosing a CWP is minor compared to loosing your lively-hood. Regardless. I wouldn't go into a club that allowed patrons to carry firearm. But then again if Im in a nightclub it is usually for business reasons to observe or scope competition. This is just personal choice. I DO SEE YOUR POINT THOUGH. You would know ahead of time, so if you intend to drink you would lock the weapon in the car. And most would.

And you are correct about that incident. He had followed them from two other bars. Guess it was time.

What did S&W say?  No problem with mine, i can shoot a much better group with it than the 40.

I enjoy my Kimber but not my choice when I ride. My P7M8 is by far the finest handgun and the most accurate I ever owned. Now the new toy the FN five seven is really cool. I just picked up some extensions and now I can carry 30 rounds in a clip. Its light carries well and 2850 fps. Very cool!

Understand your point, but if your State is a "Carry" State, unless the city has some specific ordinance that prohibits concealed carry in public establishments, how would you stop'm? Just ask'n, cause seems like that could open up the "descrimination"  can'o worms, would'n it ?  :nixweiss:

Not to speak for deadbox but there is a provision in the concealed carry laws in the state of Virginia that states any establishment/business my post that concealed carry is not allowed and that overrules what the state allows. Just the same if you are asked not to carry in a personal residence they occupant of that residence has that same right to ask you not to carry in their place of domain (home).

True, and maybe I'm just pissing in the wind and calling it rain but for me I'd rather abide by those requirements/laws then risk loosing my privilege to carry concealed. :nixweiss:

US Carry is a great resource and reference (I use it often and have it bookmarked) if you want to keep up w/concealed carry laws as you travel. :2vrolijk_21:
