US Carry is a great resource and reference (I use it often and have it bookmarked) if you want to keep up w/concealed carry laws as you travel. :2vrolijk_21:

Dood - I agree on US Carry being a great site and use it myself, but I find the most reliable and up to date information for me has always come from the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) website: http://www.nraila.org/GunLaws/#?st=FL. Not only does the site have very current and complete laws for each 'state' (all the guns laws for that state, not just those effecting CCW), but also offers invaluable info on Interstate Commerce (moving or shipping weapons across state lines), transportation of a weapon on an airplane; Info for other countries like Canada, and US protectorates like Guam and Puerto Rico too.

I like the 'Reciprocity' page the best when I'm planning trips http://www.nraila.org/recmap/usrecmap.aspx - real easy to get it all straight. Just click on a state on the map and a java-script box will pop up with a nice well laid out explanation of what that state allows; who it has reciprocity with; agency information to contact for questions or obtain permit, etc. When Nevada decided to take away all reciprocity from every other state last year, the information was posted to the NRA/ILA Reciprocity page within hours.

Wife in bed; kids asleep; HD running well and cleaned in the garage; talking about bikes and guns on a Friday night with good people - damn, I think I'll drink to that right now ;D

Drew.

"We will never allow guns in"
Understand your point, but if your State is a "Carry" State, unless the city has some specific ordinance that prohibits concealed carry in public establishments, how would you stop'm? Just ask'n, cause seems like that could open up the "descrimination"  can'o worms, would'n it ?  :nixweiss:

No with a liquor license you have more authority than the average. To be honest there is no law that prevents under 21 in a club or bar. It is just a common standard. Well with our sign saying that no firearm or weapons permitted. It wouldn't be worth there risk. Hell we don't even let off duty carry. But like I said we have been in business for 34 years. The deputies now were kids when this place was open and they just know our rules. In the end we would win any debate. Been through it with a state patrol off duty. In uniform absolutely. Just our rule. It works for us.

What's the name of your establishment?  I'll try and stop by when I'm in town for Run To Rat's pre-Daytona party.  :drink: spyder

Guys, I am drooling, we can't have any of this good stuff over here, I have a collection of long arms but no handguns, had some when I was shooting competition but had to hand them in by law as soon as I stopped, best one was a 357 maximum Dan Wessen, great for longer distance and metal silouette shooting, also lost my 45 cal Ruger Vaquero stailess steel with black pearl grips I picked up in the US, oh well! >:(

I've got one of those with a 8" barrel on it... if you can't hit the target with it then you can beat the target w/it. :D :D It's a great gun, sorry you had to let yours go. :(

I guess maybe the point of contention for me is yes as a business owner you should and do have the right to run your business as you see fit. My point on the no concealed weapons in a business is the only patrons that are going to abide by your request are the semi-law abiding customers like me. The criminal element is first not going to have a CC permit, second not going to abide by the no CC request at the door and by the time you find out they have one it is to late to do anything about it most of the time if someone was in your facility that had a CC permit and a weapon then maybe something like this would not happen.

http://vodpod.com/watch/1190105-suzanna-gratia-hupp-explains-meaning-of-2nd-amendment

I know this is extreme but who knows. When you post a no concealed carry sign in your place of business if I carry in there then I am a criminal do not really want anything like that to bite me on the butt so I choose not to go there if I have a choice.

Everyone has opinions and I certainly am glad that I live in a country that is free enough for me to make my comments without fear of retribution and I most certainly respect your right and opinion but please do not be angry with me if I chose not to spend my money in your place if I can legally carry there and you ask me not to. I am not afraid, I do not carry everywhere I go but I do own weapons and am well trained in their use and care.

This exchange of information is fun and I hope that I have not upset anyone and am not trying to jack the thread just seems a good fit here.

Yeh Firedood, mine was a 8" as well and you should have seen the groupings at 50 meters, I won a lot of comps with that gun, the only problem I had was after some years there was some gas cutting on the top frame strap but that was after a lot of handloaded rounds, never caused a problem with the integrity of the gun though, I miss my handguns but live in a country where they are trying to disarm the public, oh well my choice to live here, at least I still can ride my bike, denis.

I'd be worried Denis.  1st, the guns, what's next of your personal freedoms?  You know, these motorcycles are 'dangerous' just like those guns........   :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: spyder

My Father in law left a gun like this to my wife, only it is in excellent shape.  Notice the Nazi logos, Browning 9mm made in Belgium

But the only place that it's concealed is in its display case.  So, I guess not concealed at all.
