Guys, I'm new to engine tuning HD's.  Forgive me.   My bike has a set of V&H hi-outputs and power duals, stage 1 and rest is std 110.
My dealer's trying to sell me something for more power and I'm an easy target.  I'd like to keep reliability, but have a bit more get-up and go without selling the farm.  This set-up appears to work and many with SESG's are happy and then some.

Options are a 120" motor - this is out on cost, it's un-proven (or is it?) and the fact it's black and the granite appeals to me.

110" pro kit with cams and pistons plus nigh on a day's labour at close to $2000.

I'm keen to keep the warranty, plus we have little indy's in UK so most work is at dealer.  Will this set-up do what I want or is there something I can ask the dealer to install? (buy parts from him or stateside).

Thanks in advance.

I can tell you I love em in mine and you keep even improve reliability. Good way to go especially on pump gas. When you go the high compression route its more sensitive to fuel quality. These cams keep the stock compression and reduce the CCP (cold cranking Pressure) the new map takes redline to 6200 and it pulls strongly from 2800 to redline (my favorite place to shift)

Not the hottest nor most expensive setup by far but a damn site better than it came and easily over the 100hp and 100 ft lb of torque mark.

A lot of bang for the buck and no need to pull the heads. Jim at Metal Dragon can set you up with the parts and a map.

new cam bearings and gaskets, 574 Fueling cams, Fueling lifters and Screamin Eagle Adjustable pushrods. no problem sharing the map but Jim (Hddude) may be able to provide one closer to your setup? I'd give him a call (510) 885-9471

I got my cams installed last week and it's been raining since. I did take it out for a short ride. I noticed that it was smoother, quieter and seem to have more torque than before. I'm using a Thundermax Autotune so I didn't dyno it. I will check back after a few more miles. It's supposed to be nice up here for the long weekend. BTW, I put in new bearings, SE Adjustable pushrods and the cams. No other changes.

Have any of you guys checked your fuel mileage? Sometimes you get lucky with cam changes and get better power and mileage.

Hello;
Love the thread and will follow it.
I have a couple of questions.
I too am looking at exhaust, tuner, and cam for my CUSE5.  It is a Califorina Bike all stock with 6.7k miles
I live at 5,600 ft Golden CO.
If I want to make similar changes is there anything I should know and plan for?
Or will the tune take care of the variables?
I ride the mostly the mountain hi ways I would like my tq in a lower RPM than Interstate Monsters.
I am also wanting to keep my warranty.  I spoke with Mile High Harley and they said they build bike all the time that they stand behind.  That makes me feel better.
Has the Feuling folks established any kind of relationship with Harley?
I am thinking of the SERT any tuning as a way throw the Dealer a bone to keep him on my side if a warranty problem should arise.
Mile High also recommended the V&H pro pipe and the slipons of sound choice He like the Rinehart mufflers.
Last question anyone have side by side of cam dynos.
are the SE 204's any good for this engine at my altitude?

Consider a shorter grind such as the Wood TW5-6. In the mountains you will love the added torque, plus pipes such as Supertrap slip-ons and the cat gone. Aslo the small Fullsacks will work well up there. Remember at altitude you loose compression due to lower air pressure so keep everything on the small side for big smiles.

Here's another 110" 574 Dyno. 116.4 HP 118.8TQ!    This is in a 10' FLHXSE with .030" Head gaskets. No other head work. V&H Headpipe and 4" mufflers, TTS Mastertune, Dyno by Bob......This cam really liked the slight compression bump that the .030 head gaskets gave....

Wonder why Feulings web site shows a much lower and not so pretty curve with the 574 in a 110?
