Just one more thing...GPS.  It opened up a whole new world in touring this last weekend...and I was totally prepared to not like it.

I actually got a Marware Neoprene case from online somewhere, and a matching handlebar mount.  The mount stays on, and fits up right next to the left mirror, clutch assembly, and the IPOD case clicks and locks right into the case.  I wired a black cable inside of the fairing and ran it up the bar.  I love the setup, and it is facing right at you, so you can easily read what is coming up...I can post photos if you need to see it, but that should describe it pretty well.

Peel-free chrome on $1000 wheels.  I have to go get my third set...I hope they will swap for Thunderstart mirror chromes...I like the Dets but they suck for chromage.

This applies to all H-D Touring models - I'd like an ignition switch that locks just by turning it all the way to the left, without having to remember to insert and turn the key.  I've caught myself leaving the bike unlocked on more than one occassion.

If it locked or unlocked by just turning the switch then anyone could unlock it and take off.

Actually, what I envision is a switch that locks when you turn it to the "lock" position, and then requires a key to unlock.  If you had the key to unlock it before you began your ride, you would hopefully still have it if you stop somewhere and lock the bike.

I guess I'm just used to the setup on the Dyna's, whereby the key stays in the ignition until you turn it off and remove the key.  This is just like the family car, and just seems to make a lot more sense to me.  Just think how many cars would be stolen if they had switches like H-D's!

NO FRACKING RETROFIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't expect it to retrofit when the first announcement in the bike section said it was a Harmon Karden radio.

And still no oil temp gauge.  All kinds of doo dads, new luggage bags out the wazoo.  Wheel weight that light up.  Fancy multi thousand dollar paint sets.  But not one functional little oil temp gauge to replace that useless ambient air temp p.o.s.
