The 103 under discussion in this thread is not the same as the old CVO103 used in the '06 and earlier bikes. Only thing that's the same is the cubic inch displacement.
The current 103's are just a big bore kit on a regular TC96 engine. In other words, bigger pistons in bigger bores, but the same heads, cams, bottom end, etc. as the 96. I think they did add compression releases to the heads, but they are still regular TC96 heads and not performance versions. So the best you could expect in terms of performance is probably about 5-10% increase in torque due to the increased displacement and slightly higher compression ratio. No where near the performance level of the CVO110.
I expect this will not be a stand alone option, but will be part of a package like the Limited. If you want the other stuff in the package, go ahead and buy it. If not, you can do the big bore yourself at any time. If you have the dealer do it prior to delivery, I believe it will be covered under the two year factory warranty just like in the past.
