tried 87 and it pinged even worst , how do you get a good tune from a dealer
It would if not tuned for it. Popular misconception notwithstanding but current "higher octane" fuels are not really high performance fuels. They do, however, have an additive package that helps against preignition and detonation. So if you got pinging at 89 or 91 or whatever and you dropped back to 87 you would expect it to ping worse.
To use the lower octane fuel you need to first have the engine tuned while running that fuel. Then you're good from that time on. But you can't just drop in a tank of 87 and gain any improvement.
