why do you limit your riding to daylight hours?  Because you can see better?  Well, following that logic, you'd want to install all the increased lighting you could as you age.  Just in case you end up staying till happy hour is over and when you walk outside.......it's dark.  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] har! No, you're right, better to slow down and ride w/in whatever lighting you've got for the conditions  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]spyder

Yeah the guy I bought this house from told me he had 3 friends killed in deer/bike strikes right down the street from here (all at different times).

With the stock lighting, I find it difficult to ride at night, even at posted speed limits, particularly if I'm the only one on the road (no tailights to see), so I think I'll do this lighting upgrade so I can ride just as cautiously at night, but see a bit further than I can right now.  With the stock lights, it seems that if you're doing more than 35mph, you're outrunning your lights.  Not good!!!  If I've got a choice, I will be sitting somewhere with my feet up when the dark comes, but sometimes you just got to ride in less than ideal conditions.  Sounds like for under 50 bucks I can see better...not many things I've done to this scooter that costs so little!! :o

Recently did the swap on my lights. Tryed the pia 4000k and the luminics 5150k.

I must say I like the luminics 5150k in the spots. They seem to be a little whiter and light up the road a little more. Thinking about pulling the pia lights I now have in the low and hi and putting in the luminics 5150 also.
The luminics can be bought off ebay for $22 plus shipping for two bulbs. This is half the price of the pia if not a third of the price.

Be warned thought if you have a lot of fog in your area the brighter white lights wouldnt penetrate as well as the slightly more yellow spectrum 4100 pia bulbs. Just sharing my experience with bulbs.

Absolutely, and on the '06 models that means cutting the top adjusting spring, it's too long and doesn't allow it to be adjusted correctly.  Don't ask you local dealer to do it though, they think the MoCo can do no wrong, so if it's there then it's right......blah blah blah....
