Heat Demons need 7/8" ID to slip into the handlebars. Mine had to be reamed out slightly by a machine shop to accept the heat demons. But they work great. Be careful on an all day ride, on high because they get hot enough to melt the glue that holds the grip on. It can be re-glued, but the grip will twist slightly and rotate until you get them glued. Love mine

I had a set of Heat Demons installed on a set of WO 515.  When I took the bike in to have the handlebars replaced and the Heat Demons installed I mentioned that the handle bars need to be reamed out to fit the TBW bikes and gave them the specs.  A couple of days later, the stealership called and said that they don't fit the handlebars and they are going to have to have the bars reamed.
  :soapbox:

I don't know if they screwed it up, but my Heat Demons don't get excessively hot.  I run them on high all the time.

Briefly on a 2011 SESG last week and the immediate first impression was that the stock bars were shoulder-dislocatingly narrow.  Change the bars to something that is actually comfortable from Wild1 and the Heat Demons will work just fine.

Called Heat Demons about this and found that the WO575's that I am putting on the '11 SESG won't work since the I.D. of the bar by the grips needs to be reamed out slightly to get the heat demons in there. It can be done, but they don't work right out of the box.

Are the new SESG bars noticeably different (narrower/shorter) than the stock SEEG bars?  :-\ spyder

I'm confused.  I know there are stock bars that need to have the ID honed a bit to fit the Heat Demons.  Also have put Heat Demons in three pair of Wild1 575 bars.  So unless Wild1 has changed their bars I know that combination works also.

Are you 100% sure they weren't saying the stock bars need to be reamed rather than the Wild1 bars?  There are several newer stock bars for which the oversize is absolutely a necessity.  The Wild1 bars I've seen all have the same internal ID they've always had though.

I did specify Wild One bars and they told me they would not fit. I can't remember the exact specs, but I do remember measuring and the I.D. was not large enough.
