It doesn’t get too much more emotional than this. Check out the link, and go to Operationkyle.org. This is a PGR mission we did this week of this Marine finally coming home after months in the hospital and countless surgeries to put him back together. His family lives a few mile down the road from where I live in Lexington, SC. (yours truly is the 2nd bike coming in) The PGR was requested to escort him into his neighborhood. I was very proud of the community, the news, just freaking awesome was all I can say. This man took a grenade from an insurgent in Afghanistan and totally changed his life forever and he was thanking us. Unbelievable young man!

I thought that this was worth posting.  It shows the Patriot Guard's core mission

These men & women are truly great Americans. On March 2nd this email was sent out in response the the Supreme Court decision. Classy folks - God Bless them and all our military & military families!!

Members,
Today our Supreme Court ruled in favor of the cult from Kansas who protest
military funerals. 8-1 they ruled it is within constitutional rights to
picket and protest even if it is hurtful to others....

It was my hope and I'm sure yours that this ruling would have went the other
way.
We (NY ) have not had to shield from protesters in a few years. This may now
change.

It is very important that we as Patriot Guard never approach or
confront this group or any other who show up at a mission.
Your Captains in charge of each mission have accepted the responsibility to
use our people and our flags to shield the families we serve if needed.
Please do not move to block anyone without instructions from a Ride Captain.
The family and the military are counting on us and a scene involving PGR
could threaten our credibility to continue our mission.
I am going to begin at the county level to try and get restrictions in local
law that limit the distance and timing a protester can picket or protest a
military funeral. I am only aware of 1 county in NY that has a local law in
effect / Suffolk. We will use this example to appeal to our law makers. If
anyone has experience/ willingness or contacts that could help, please write
me.

Thank you.

Anyone doing the Medal Of Honor winners escort ride tomorrow?  From DFW airport to Gainesville, TX.

If you see an Orange SEEG, that'll be me, say Howdy.

This was a Warriors Watch Riders mission versus a PGR mission, but it still feels great welcoming home our troops!

I am a huge supporter of the PGR and I've been doing PGR mission rides since February. I created a login, etc., on the PGR site so I can respond to postings, see missions, etc. I see a lot of guys talk about their " member #" and I was wondering where that came from. I've never seen anything called my member #. ???

I don't remember how to find it, but it is issued when you join. It is a sequential number given as the 240,000 plus members have joined up.
