Well, just got the bad news.  Same thing happend to mine.   Inner cam bearing exploded and dumped pieces of bearing/cage into the case!

Decision time!  Do I get it rebuilt?  Put another motor in?  Maybe the 120R or something else?  Or trade it as is on a new one....

On mine, the only thing that was reused were the heads & only after a complete rebuild.  Even the cases had to be replaced as "chunks" had gotten caught under the flywheel and just destroyed the bottom of the case.

Not sure what I would have done if I had not had the extended warranty, it was not a good time $$ wise for us so the warranty saved our butts.  That $1800, 7 year warranty paid $9600 to completely build me a new motor.

Beserker - The oil doesn't go into the primary, it just sits in the bottom of the engine case & can't get pumped because the oil pump gets toasted with all the metal, the outer ring on mine was actually broken in 1/2.  You check the oil, it looks low so you add oil, I did the same thing, I added 2 quarts to get it back full.  When it was drained at the shop (Yuill Bros) to take it apart,  6 qts came out but very little was circulating.  My oil pressure was also basically 0.

Get a quote from the dealer on a rebuild and also what he will give you on trade then weigh your options.  If you buy the new one, get the 7 year warranty.  Of course that's just my opinion.

Good luck, I feel for you having been there.

Can you just replace the inner cam bearings and oil pump and then trade it off???    :nixweiss:

Sure, then the poor guy that buys it joins the site here & starts complaining about the problems with his 110.  Could get really interesting.  just sayin...

So, these inner cam needles don't just stay in the cam cover side and easily removed?  If they go wherever oil flows, I see the problem.

Mine fell into the case and the oil pump also picked some of the bearing up causing the pump to fail

Damn shame Tommy!

Were you thinking you'ld really like to get a new scooter before this happened or was you just testing the water?

Were these the OEM bearings or the full cage upgrades?

Sorry for ya!
