 :2vrolijk_21: on the Works.
I ride with a trailer sometimes, solo sometimes, 2-up sometimes and the Works are just fine.
The 440's in the picture are now on my EVO that I ride solo most all the time and they also work just fine!

I'm sure the AT 20's and Bitubos are fantastic, but the Ricor Intiminator's in my front end were a great improvement for $200, and I don't want to spend over $800 on shocks when I can make a great improvement for around $550. This is just me, I think I'll be happy with this combo. I also have a bagger brace on my RK and it made a big difference on the old style frame. Anybody got any comments on he PS 940's or the Suspension Technologies shocks? JW, the 13" Works will raise my bike about 1/2"? That's not bad, give me a little more lean angle!! I have a 30" inseam so don't want to go any higher than that, plus I like the lower look.
Craig

No more than 1/2". I have a 29" inseam. With these shocks and my C&C seat, I'm flat footed with a very slight bend to the knees. Very stable.

I got a C&C seat for the SESG2 to hopefully lower me some. While I like the OEM shocks on this scoot, the WORKS are much better and may lower me some. May mess with a switch and see sometime in the future. I really like the WORKS shocks. Those I know that have tried the WORKS and Bitubos give the nod to the Bitubos. But they all add the WORKS are "very good"  It's a matter of how much your willing to spend for how much benefit you gain. I stopped at these on the dollar V benefit scale.  JMO

Kinda like going with the Progressive Monotubes or the Traxxions. Traxxions are better, the Monotube provide great service for the buck.

It's like anything else in the world...it's all about what you know to compare to what you have or had.  Anything is better than what comes on all HD motorcycles, so whatever you do will be an improvement over stock suspension.  The difference between the AK-20 catridges and most anything else out there short of that, is they are all attempts to try and emulate a true cartridge, and some do it better than others, but it ain't the same, and if you have no basis for comparison, you'll never know how good the suspension can be.  It's all a matter of money, just like buying a regular version of any given HD, or a CVO.  They will both get you from point A to point B, but it's all about how you want to get there.

The new Progressive 940's look promising, but then they are nearly what the Bitubos cost, if I'm not mistaken, and the 970's actually list for more than the bitubos, and I can't see where they have a rebound damping adjustment.  And, from what I'm reading, the 940's are really a basic shock with preload adjustment.

Whaever you do, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Thanks JW, I also agree with the cost VS benefit, I'm sure the Traxxions setup is great, but for $200 I have a front suspension with a 1/4 of the dive I got with the stock front end, handles bumps a lot better and I can drive the bike into a turn that I would never have tried with the stock setup. I'm also on a budget ever since we started building the cabin, wife wants to be in by early spring, so most extra money is going up there!

Thanks for the info on the Works shocks, anybody riding the other two? Would really like a review of the 940's.

Ok, read most, they talk about changing to 940 or wanting to, not much on how they work, found more on Works shocks under 940 than on the 940's. Neal I think you should send me you 940's and I'll try them out and let you know how they work!!! ;D :P

I'm really leaning towards the Work's, with DRS, and the ARS adjustment.

17K on the 12" 940s.  Better at sucking up big bumps then stock.  Had to max out preload on the 10 SEUC, RK should have some adjustment.   PS stock height Monos gave me a 1" drop and a little high speed wobble in the turns.
