Sounds like the problem was the pipes hit the oil lines from the oil tank. How close are they on your bike?

Looks like you bought the flush set from the part number which is what I was looking at. Someone mentioned needing a bracket. You didn't need anything special did you?

I wanted to take my bike out last Sunday because it got up to 50 here in the Quad Cities but I broke my collarbone a couple weeks ago and thought better of it. I hope it warmed up enough there to take it for a ride!!

TLC,

I hope you were out riding today.....I got another 5 hrs riding before the end of the year.

I can't wait to put on the crossbacks after todays ride. I'm hoping to buy a new Streetglide this winter so that i can make this a hot rod to ride around town on.

Dont know what the gains are since I did not know what I started with. Not saying they are any better than V&H but sure do look better in my opinion.Everybody has V&H but nobody around here has Crossbacks.Pay a little more to be different as I was told In an earlier post.

Funny, my tuner told me anything but big radius. He told me if I liked V&H the only one he liked were the big shots.

He's a big fan of Thunderheaders and D&D pipes for 2-1 and Cycle shacks for 2-2. I know Bob Woods likes the Cycle shacks but I don't like the looks.

I don't think it makes much difference at stage 1 but if you plan on going further big radius pipes are going help. Find your favorite tuner and ask him which pipes he has good luck with. Not someone at the dealership!!!!

Love the looks of the crossbacks myself! I have 10.5 pistons woods 555 cam drove over 3hrs for a tune (from a tuner that woods recomended) no better than i had. plan on some head work from t-man and either his 625 or 650 cam. dewysheads told me the crossbacks are no better just trying not to wast any more$$$$.  Wold not recomend the 555 only gained 7hp and1ft trq with this set up. The more i read about the 110 the more im finding it dosent respond well to performance upgrades. :nixweiss:

I have 10.5 pistons, Woods 408-6 cam, SE 50mm throttle body and some light head work. I have BUB 7 slip ons and got 109 and 127 after the tune. We tried a stepped Cycle Shacks and went up to 122 and 127. This is why I'm going to a stepped system for my build.

I'm traveling for work allot this spring but will have the new pipes and a new tune by spring. I'm hoping to get back to what the Cycle Shacks were.
