So there were even few than I thought which to my mind is more the reason to GAS. You are of course correct about the 70 Hemi-Challenger, but my point was simply that at the time, nobody wanted it. We were dealing with OPEC and our idea of expensive gas would be a joke compared to what's happening today, but nonetheless, my buddy who was a salesman at the dealership where the Challenger was for sale talked me out of it. As I said ,  Who knew ? Anyway, of course a 2000 FLHRSEI will never be in the same league with a 70 Hemi, but you know we (Baby Boomers) have enough things that we now have hindsight on that we should be able to exercise some degree of foresight

I wonder if "Buddy" back in 1939 when he paid $ 400.00 of his hard earned dollars for his Harley Davidson Knuckle, ever figured it might sell for over $ 50,000.00   :nixweiss:  Never say never boyz  :2vrolijk_21: and keep those take-offs  :pepper: :pepper:

Thatis a sweet ride and sounds like a great deal.  I picked up a R/W/O 2000 in November. Almost all the items lacking the saddlebag insert bags, the cover, the backrest (had one) and the quick detach passenger backrest. The mirrors were changed out with the K40 detector ones (changed back) and there was a Baker 6 speed installed.  The ride had 22,000 miles and I am the original owner ( was a dealer bike , still had the Cert. of Origin). I am going to ride and enjoy Mine  ;D
