The bars are also wider. So if you ride in the cold a lot that is something to consider. Good chance they will put your hands out in the wind more.
Besides looking way better then the stock bars, the height and pullback make for some additional comfort. For me though the real comfort comes in allowing your wrist to be more inline with hand/forearm

Also the extra width gives you more leverage to turn the bike easier at slow speeds, in
parking lots parking the bike, moving around in garage, etc.

Hey :bananarock: Man - you're quite right about that! The front end of this SESG with the 575s seems lighter and much more easily maneuverable than our '95 FLHTP does - even though it's significantly heavier than the old Evo, which only has a windshield and not a fairing...

Yep, I will not own a bat wing bike with stock bars again. When I buy another bike
the stock bars will be the first thing to get tossed in favor of 575 bars.

You'd think the MoCo would learn a lesson from all of the aftermarket manufacturers... or maybe it's all part of their Grand Design...

Another option is the new Klock Werks Ergo Pull Backs.  I just put them on and really like them.

Well, I spent an hour at Killer today trying to see if I could buy the little 3-wire harness from the Tour Pak plug under the left side cover up to the Tour Pak - that is NOT on my bike. No luck... it isn't sold separately. So I just got the connectors, pins, and receptacles... then went over to Pep Boys and got three colors of 16 gauge wire and some cable tubing... and I'll make my own friggin' harness!
I think it's ridiculous that (1) the MoCo does not sell this little harness by itself, and (2) it did NOT come on my bike, as others have said it IS present on other SGs.  :soapbox:

Oh well... not a big deal to make my own I suppose... I have plenty of  :drink: to comfort me!

That just looks awesome!  Almost makes me regret going with the chopped tourpak for mine... still waiting on mine since August 28... it should finally be here Oct 28  :)

I am with the "less is better".  That rear photo with the clean finish looks outstanding.  I suggest the saddlebag lid spoilers with LED to go with the spoiler on the Tourpak.

You Sir, have one fine looking ride.  Enjoy it in good health.

NGH, that is one very nice looking bike.  The tour pak compliments it nicely.

At some point I will need to get one myself.  But since my riding season is over for this year, it can wait until next year.  The saddlebags offer plenty of storage for me for over night trips, and day trips with the misses.  However, any over night trips with the misses will definitely require the additional storage of the king tour pak.  ;D

One idea for the back to help break up the large plain area, without being too gaudy IMO, is another tramp stamp similar to that on the rear fender.  Keeping with the same color and style of the rear fender and front fairing pinstripping.  Something I'm considering instead of adding lighting to my tour pak when I get it, since it will spend more time off the bike then on.  :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks a lot for the compliments, guys! They really did the Tour Pak paint well this year. The color-matched Tour Pak spoiler is on its way... wish I would have thought to order it at the same time I ordered the Tour Pak back on Aug 28... now it's another several weeks to wait for it. I ordered it a couple of weeks ago..  :-[

I thought about the LED light bar on the Tour Pak... but I really don't want it to start looking like an Ultra back there. Plus it's like $450 or so... plus having it color-matched because the MoCo doesn't offer it except in that awful flat black. I have ordered a very thin little LED light bar with 115 LED lights from Ride Time Technology that mounts right under the Tour Pak lid and is barely noticeable, to provide more light back there without changing the look. I also ordered their little Turnz controller that plugs right into the harness under the seat, and makes the whole light bar into a very bright brake light, and makes the right and left 25 LEDS function as turn signal lights as well, with the brakes applied or not. The whole bar is only about 1/2" or so high - so unless you were really looking for it, you probably would not ever notice it's even there until the lights come on. I definitely need more light back there, and hopefully the combination of the spoiler light and this little LED light bar will provide enough.  :sunny:

I am torn with what else to do on the back of the Tour Pak... if anything else. I do like your idea of having pin striping done back there to match the pin striping on the fairing and rear fender. Would have been nice if the MoCo had done that, to match. Just enough decoration to accent that Big Orange Wall without ruining the effect or looking gaudy. I know a really good pinstriper up in Dawsonville who can do that... I may check into it...

I did not order the spoiler with LED for the TourPak  :wall:  completely forgot about it

My saddlebag spoilers are in... but I am going to have to wait for the install since I ordered the new HD saddlebag lids with the speakers  :2vrolijk_21:  going to mount them on that lid.

SWEET! That Candy Cobalt sure is pretty! They should have put the same dual amps and saddlebag speakers on the SERGC as they put on my SESG - so you wouldn't have to. And the lowers with speakers, too. But I'm sure they have their marketing reasons...

I like Big Butts, and I cannot lie...

115 LED "stealth" light bar from Ride Time Technology.
Right and left 25 LEDs function as turn signals, and all 115 LEDs function as brake lights.
And it's almost invisible when it's not lighted.

You WILL see me when I hit my brakes, Mr/Ms Cager... these suckers are FRIGGIN' BRIGHT!

NGH,

You sure have done a great job, looks stunning.
Just notice the step on the bottom of tour pak rear and where side lights are mounted.
Can you post a side shot close up of the Tour Pack.

Thanks. It's exactly the same shape as any other Tour Pak...
