I think     1) tourpak hinges,2)chrome fasters and screws better yet stainless,3)make radio, bluetooth, gps work with headset, intergrate in system so no wires plugged in front.4) make lumar tour pak backrest a option so we don't have to have that heavy thing on my t-pack lid.5) chrome calipers 6)suspension up grades 7) all of harleys latest great stuff so we don't have to add items .

If that were true, how would they make MORE money off of us if there was nothing left to buy?

If that's the case, then why not custom order and custom fit the bike to the rider? In other words you go in, they do an ergonomic and wind tunnel study of you sitting on a bike, and when your bike arrives it COMES from the factory with the seat, bars, windshield and floorboards that best fit you, thereby saving you the hassle of owning two handlebars, three seats and four windshields. In fact, you get fitted with the old lady sitting on the back seat so she won't complain either.

Now THAT would be CVO service,......and a bike that costs $65K......LOL!!!!!

I would like to see the following:
LED headlights and Passing Lamps
Tour Pak lighting that incorporates the brakes, turn signals and flashers.
Hinges of course.
How about number the bikes for the particular paint scheme.
I could do without all the heat.
More color on the Tour Pak (like my old 09 had).
Comfort bars for the bsr.
Air horn.
Lockable glove box doors.
Hmmm that's all for now I'm sure there's much more. Lol

I would prefer a Oehlin fork at the front and oehlin's at the back.
reading thru this site, I sum up that cvo-riders do more mileage
than the average hd-owner.

Fugly lower fairing doors on CVO Ultras.

Gas splash back from the most poorly designed gas tank fill tube on any bike I have ever owned.  Capless gas tanks for all CVO's.  Use a splash guard to fill on this POS.  Not a prob on the old 5 gl tank.

X2...takes for f'ingever to fill the tank, and some of the pumps have a hair trigger.  POS.

Hinges, yes.
Chrome Starter
Fully integrated electronics, or at least get the ones on the bike to WORK 100% of the time.
Chrome Calipers would be nice
1.25" handlebars
Better suspension front and rear
A real leather seat

I could care less about the tour pack hinges and don't have floorboards.....but they sure should have chrome brake calipers. :2vrolijk_21:
Would not have thought in a million years you would care about chrome cals... :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Terry, Agreed on your list.

A friend of mine made a "fix" for the gas splash back, & gave me one.  If you are interested, it is cheap & easy to make & it really does work.

Cut the valve stem out of an old inner tube - widen the hole JUST BIG ENOUGH for a typical gas nozzle to fit through.  Or just cut a section out of an old inner tube & make a hole for a gas nozzle in the middle of it.

Then cut the inner tube in a 4-5" circle, around the center hole cut for the gas nozzle.  You now have a 4-5" inner tube, cut in a circle (single thickness of tube), with a smaller hole cut in the exact middle.

Place your inner tube "gas protector" inside the fuel door of your gas tank, under the gas door lid.  It may have to be scrunched up a little but it will fit.  Take care never to put it under the lid latch.  Do not ask why or how I know never to put the inner tube deal under the latch. $^@%!!!  :-[

When you fill up, just place the center inner tube over the gas nozzle.  Place nozzle in the fill spout a couple of inches or so.  Splash protector is flush with the fill spout, tight over the nozzle.  Most gas splash back will go back into the gas tank or overflow & if you are careful, none will get outside or on the paint.  If the splash guard is wet with gas (most times it will be on the bottom) it does not matter since there is a drain hole next to the fill spout in the housing under the gas door lid.

I hope the HD jeanieous injurneeert that designed the gas fill spout on the 6 gl tank on my Ultra gets gas on his shoes every time he fills up - at least until he re-engineers the damn thing. If theses guys actually used these things, they would not make them this way to begin with.  :soapbox:

Thanks, Mike...sounds like a good fix as opposed to the HD version that can't stay under the lid.  I don't mind getting the gas on ME (though I'd rather not), but getting it on the tank paint sucks.  I was perfectly fine with the 5 gal tank because I've got a 150 mile bladder on a good day, but I guess the 6 gal is "progress" and is good for those who can go longer between pit stops.  Plus, the gauge was more acurate on the 5 gal tank, IMO.

Glad to know others hate the fill opening on the six gallon tanks.  POS is the most favorable description I can think of.  I mean the opening on the five gallon tank worked just fine.  Why in the heck did they have to 'improve' it?  :nixweiss:

Some of my friends say they have no problem at all but then again they fill while seated on the bike.  Bad idea imo.  I sure don't want to get a crotch full of gasoline if one of those nozzles fails to shut off - as has happened to me before.  And I don't multitask well - like balancing the bike while concentrating on filling the tank.  Bad combo.

Chrome Calipers would be nice but, then we would be complaining how the chrome on them are peeling like all other chrome parts.

They have changed the tank fill on the 2012's, same as it was on the 2006's. Much easier to fill now without the extension that was in the tank.  :pepper:

That Orange Collar Doughnut thing that HD sells is supposed to prevent back splash when fueling up.
