Hey Kerb,

Found this link:

http://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-models/442278-license-plate-bracket.html

The pic of the bike shows how it attaches under the light bar.  I think I like the softbrake one.

Do they have a reverse taillight bezel with the light on the bottom for SEUC?  I guess that would be the SG one?

HEY GUYS AWESOME SUGGESTIONS....

Here in Australia, we have speed cameras, and here is my trick you guys might like or not...  LED Tail light (HD) with the clear part on top, and license plate mounted above.  In Australia they come with the plate mounted below the tail light  YUK !!!

Maybe this is old new to you guys, maybe yours comes like this, but this is the Mod I have done for the tail light, old picture, reflector gone, license number blacked out but you can see the mount and plate above the HD LED...  Also the side plates added on top box LEDs are gone, Australia does not like the light bar in red to go over to the sides, they just have no good taste at all.. heh he.. Anyway, maybe it is old hat to you, but here is what I did with the plate, cant see it on toll road cameras or speed cameras (I pay the toll anyway, terminally honest as much as possible) :

Looks cool but I think what we are getting at in this part of the thread is a way to relocate the plate if the tour pack has been made quick detach and removed.  It just seems to look out of place poking up above the light bar.  I prefer to cleaner lines with the plate mounted below the light bar, but I don't want to cover my CVO emblem with it either.  I'll probably go with the kit and use the bracket that comes with it for a while 'till I make up my mind about the other location.

I'm not sure if the softbrake one will work.. The new SEUCs have  a small lightbar, not sure if the holes would be the same as on the older, larger lightbar?

This is harley's expensive under bar frame:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448777111&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309149315&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309149315&locale=en_US&locale=en_US&bmUID=1321292251533&bmLocale=en_US

On the non-cvo streetglide, there's no dedicated brake light I don't think.  I'm pretty sure the blinkers do double duty.
Being the cheap guy I am, I would probably find one of the plastic brackets off of the stock streetglide and go with that.

Never thought about the license plate light.  I guess you could probably get pulled over if it weren't illuminated.

Yeah you prolly will get pulled over since the plate has to be illuminated.

I noticed under my SEUC light bar there is a hollow area.  Methinks I read somewhere else that there is a little light kit that can be mounted in there.  (the one in the SG's?) The light bar on the '11 SEUC looks like the one that was on the '09 and up? SG, if I got my dates right, and they all have a light in that area under the bar cause that's where the plate bracket is.

I just ordered a MS6 from Custom Dynamics, it's a white led array about 2" long.  18 bux including shipping.  If I've got my brain wrapped around this issue correctly I should be able to:

1. Acquire SG license plate mounting bracket for a few bux from the dealer
2. Unscrew my 2011 SEUC light bar and mount the MS6 light bar on the hollow spot facing down.
3. Mount the license plate bracket and reinstall the light bar.
4. Put on whatever plate cover I want (have).

Less than 40 bux spent I think.

To all you guys who read this: Will my plan work?  Will it cover up my CVO MEdallion?  (if so I'll take it off with some dental floss)

Hello Sledge,

If you are talking about the bottom button on the lower part of the fender.... It will take a LOT of dental floss as I think it is through bolted...  :nixweiss:
Anyway guys, here is what I just Ordered, a full chrome bolt set EVERYTHING, tranny, primary, rocker boxes, engine, head bolts THE WORKS...
I know I am Old School, but it just gives me the eebie jeebies to look at chrome with cadmium electro bolts...  Also, it might be a over the top, but my Top box did not come with the side lower LEDs, red illegal in Oz...  As it is it came with little silver horse blinders on the big LED lights, which have now gone missing... heh he..  Anyway, LEDs on Mirrors as well, double band of yellow, can't hurt, and will look good at night...  I was thinking of blue neons under the tank for the chrome, but I was told I would be pulled over for sure as they are dead against that, "distraction in traffic" sort of idea...

Gee, I thought that was EXACTLY what I was looking for, distraction standout in traffic..
They got NO SENSE OF HUMOUR .... :zroflmao: :bobby2:

Reflector is gone, but here is the Australian version with no side lights on the top box... I am only doing the front mirror lights as I added the LED lights in the windscreen trim...  Dig the big rig look...   BIG BLUE now has a respectable 7,500 kms in 14 weeks... This is an old picture, I also have goodies like the locking flod down glove box lids and chrome in the dash and more...

I had polished SS fasteners on my last bike and loved the way it looked.  Have fun getting them all on.

Yea, know what you mean...

And it is a Blessing from the Lord, but I can afford to give it to my HD Dealer and say the magic words... They have to pull the tank, a big job to do it all, but luckily I can pay them to do it.  I also support enough "Good Works" in the community, that I don't feel bad about spending a little on something this useless but that makes me feel good too...   :bananarock:

Totally useless, but eye candy to me.. But I will appreciate it everytime I look at it, wash it, shammy it off, where right now I think "Why dey don do dat?"

Don't know if I can justify in real inner primary in chrome though... Big job, big expense, big teardown, for just a little more bling.  I might wait until we are in there for something else to do that one.  I am thinking of the Chrome Dome Eagle or flaming sun horn cover... something to dress up the Primary side a little more..   :2vrolijk_21:

Hey the inner primary replalcement is not that big of a job.  I think it only takes 'em a couple hours and the part is 299.

You're on a good path but until you get into engine upgrades, you'll have a ways to go. Once you transtion from bling ($100's) to power ($1000's) then you'll really be on the path to the most expensive HD on earth. Please don't ask me how I know!

Heatwave,
I appreciate you thoughts on this, but this engine is just too good to crack... This 110 is first of all, all the power I need... But secondly it is so smooth it feels like a Factory Balanced job.  It chugs fine on the low end around town, and sounds like an old school Harley at 1800 rpm, and is happy on the high end shifting at a 2500-3500 range and does not mind 4000 rpm shifts in normal driving.   Smooth, smooth, smooth, and the very best fuel economy anyone has heard of in the 450 kms per tank on the highway at speed limit ( if I can hold it down there)...

Heatwave, not sure I need anymore power, not in dragging off Jap Bikes with the heaviest full dresser HD ever made...  And this has all the normal driving power I will ever need.. So I am getting away cheap.  You just do not, NOT, Crack and engine this good !!!!

Power is addictive. My bike from the factory with everything stock was dynoed at 77hp & 100 FT-Lbs. I suspect your 110 is just about the same. The factory cam is setup to ensure emissions standards are met and the exhaust is rather restrictive. After headwork, cams, roller rockers, bigger injectors, 58mm Throttlebody, D&D Fatcat and tuning, I'm now at 115hp and 119 ftlbs.

If you think the stock engine is sweet, just imagine what 50% more HP and 20% more torque feels like. Trust me....you could never ride your bike with the stock power again after feeling this kind of increase in power. If I had to do it over, I might have simply replaced the stock engine with the 120R, 58MM TB and a D&D Boarzilla, sold the stock engine and smiled on every ride with ~130hp & ~135 ftlbs of torque under the seat. Now thats serious power and even more than the latest 6cyl from BMW puts out.

Did you get rid of those crappy tour pak hinges and go with the premium ones? I think they made a huge difference with the way the tour pak looks.

Hey Cowboy you're gonna love how it looks with that inner primary in chrome.

How's the widespread drought down under affecting your area?
