That just gives me the operations to be carried out at the next service, so I guess there are no recalls for mine....

I followed your instructions and it does list service items at my next checkup (5,000 miles) but nothing about any recalls. Guess I'm lucky  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Thanks man, you saved me a trip to the dealer.  Mine is in right now for new rear tire and front motor mount.  I just phoned them to add this recall to the list.  Thanks again!

Remember to take your ignition key with you.  They will need it to change out the switch.  Guess how I know!

Mine was acting like it was sticking when we were in CC, kind of grinding/dragging when I switched it on.  My production month was November 2005.

Yep, signed on to the site and got it on "my bikes: list.

Here's the info:

2006 SCREAMIN' EAGLE ULTRA CLASSIC ELECTRA GLIDE - FLHTCUSE
VIN: 1HDXXXXXXXXXXXXX

ATTENTION:   There are one or more open safety recalls on your vehicle. The following list contains the recall number and a brief recall description:

0900:   PROD.CMP.'06 FL TOURING IGN.SW

We strongly urge you to take your motorcycle to your dealer to have the appropriate service performed as soon as possible. Should you choose to ride your motorcycle prior to this service, we urge you to be aware of this condition. Please see your local Harley-Davidson dealer for further details.

Dealer told me this was not a "recall" since not safety related.  Don't know how they plan to notify us.  According to him "all" that would happen is that you could not unlock your ignition.  Well, chit, aint' that a kick in the head.

I'd tell your dealer he might check on it.  The above termiology is right off of the Harley site and it sure sounds like a recall to me, unless recall doesn't mean recall in MoCo language.

Why does Harley not have to send out notices to owners with recall issues akin to what the major auto manufacturers do?  Saves them a ton of money not doing it of course.  But why is HDI immune?
