I hate to see people complaining about the numbers WYD has recieved and posted for us. I myself have spent many hours adding this to the spread sheet provided. CAN YOU DO BETTER? If so, DO IT!
 I have not seen an OFFICIAL letter from the MOCO since 2005! Have you? If you don't like what we have provided for you all, GET IT YOURSELF!     Done

Exactly!  And thank you for your years and many hours of collaboration to acquire and provide the numbers.  You were the extra motivation for me to spend months making sure every last number was correct.

The numbers are objective fact, not subjective opinion and speculation.  You know the amount of hours and phone/e-mail correspondence it took to get all this data because you were part of the project.  It just hits me wrong when others subjectively say "nuh-uh".

Thanks again for making the spreadsheet.  Many have/do/will appreciate it.  :-)

Because they're in the much-more-detailed breakdown of each year/model/color/market.

No.  The numbers are all where I said they were.  Go look.  "CVO Numbers" thread.  Read back a year.  You're a year late to criticize the data.  The 2012 data I ADDED was an addendum.  And I reposted the summary list since nobody seemed to bother looking at the posts from last year that have been bumped with the 2012 update.

It's only misleading if you ignore the rest of the information from last year that's readily available.  There's no error.  Go look at the per-model-year breakdowns.

Good... and... Grief.  This is ridiculous.  Call/write MoCo and get all 14 years of data for yourself.  I did, and shared it so nobody else would have to and because nobody else ever did or would.

Criticisms about the format being misleading are bogus and irrational.

So you and Wrongway are doing this together?  I've read that thread you referenced.  You mentioned the specials once on Jan 20, 2011 but then left them out on Jan 21, 2011 and onward.  Also, Wrongway's spreadsheet doesn't account for any of them.  Am I missing something there?

So you and Wrongway are doing this together?  I've read that thread you referenced.  You mentioned the specials once on Jan 20, 2011 but then left them out on Jan 21, 2011 and onward.  Also, Wrongway's spreadsheet doesn't account for any of them.  Am I missing something there?

Yes.  You're missing that the summary list was for most people who want to have the numbers for their year/model/color.  The International and Specials breakdown per model/market is much lengthier and more extensive.  That's why the summary was made.

The project was in phases.  I compiled all I could from this site, and in doing so I found Wrongway.  He'd already done the same thing and made an incomplete spreadsheet of the numbers we could find.  But then stuff like the Specials started popping up that screwed up the annual numbers from the summary, leaving 5 or 4 or 7 unaccounted for on many models.

So... I had already gotten the bulk of the summary numbers, but I called back a billionth time to talk with Suzie and ask for the International breakdowns and Specials, etc.  After confirming all the annual numbers again, she suggested just sending me copy/pastes, because her eyes were crossing while trying to give me all the data verbally.  I initially got all the copy/pastes for the models we were missing.  Then I wasn't satisfied until every last number was correct, so I talked to Suzie yet again and she sent me every copy/paste of everything.

Wrongway's spreadsheet is the same data format he had before all the extra info by country and without Specials, No Color on Build (NCOB), etc.  I posted all that info in successive posts on the CVO Numbers thread.  The character count requires multiple posts, which is why I generally only copy the summary list.  Most people don't care how many FLHRSE3s went to Canada when they own a FLHTCUSE4 or whatever.

I've proofread the numbers 50 times and had Wrongway do the same.  He just hasn't expanded his format because it's a LOT of info once it's charted in columns.  I may do it for myself in a WORD Table document.

Have you looked through the detailed breakdowns yet?  It's all there.

Here is one of my posts explaining each discrepancy found after acquiring and scrutinizing all the accurate numbers.

NOTE TO THOSE WHO ACCESSED THIS THREAD PRIOR TO 01.21.12 FOR PRODUCTION NUMBERS!!!!

After receiving complete information from H-D, there are several updates that bear explanation.  First, the previously compiled list is 98% accurate, and the updates are mostly an addition of numbers that were previously excluded with the core numbers being correct.  IOW, the updates are for additional information previously unavailable.

Color and model totals were adjusted to include previously-excluded JPN market numbers for:
2007 FLHRSE3  (3 colors)
2008 FLHRSE4  (2 colors)
2009 FLTRSE3  (3 colors)
2010 FXDFSE2  (3 colors)

Color and model total was adjusted to include previously-excluded CAL market numbers for:
2000 FLTRSEI  (2 colors)

In addition, there were two model misreported according to estimated or presumed production quantities and were previously posted in the forum without confirmation from H-D.  These were simply repeated in the list as accurate.
2003 FXSTDSEI  (1 color)
2008 FLHTCUSE3  (1 color)

Also, there were two models previously reported that were most likely typos.
1999 FXR3  (1 color and model total)
2009 FLHTCUSE4  (1 color)

There will be ongoing proof-reading of all information to determine if any small discrepancies remain.

Certainly, and I have no doubt that these are the most accurate numbers out there.  I was just confused why Wrongway's spreadsheet hadn't included them and you sometimes posted info on the specials and other times only posted a summary excluding those bikes.  That's all.

And here's the initial post of several with International breakdowns.

Quote
HERE IT IS!!!!  THE KING DADDY EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF ALL CVO PRODUCTION NUMBERS FOR EVERY YEAR OF EVERY MODEL FOR EVERY COUNTRY!

This information was received via e-mails that were a direct copy/paste from H-Ds internal database, so this is THE comprehensive and definitive list for thorough accuracy.  Approximately 98% of the previous list was correct, but there are a handful of updates for several reasons which I'll outline specifically.  I had previously gotten the remaining numbers after compiling all the various H-D responses on this site.  A few of those were incomplete or incorrect by a small margin.  I undertook this project because I felt the list was almost accurate, but had a few question-marks about some listed below.

This has all taken about 50 hours of compilation, and I've proofread it several times; but I welcome any and all to advise me of any typos or incorrect addition, etc., and I invite any questions for clarification.  I've added sub-totals for USA totals and INT'L totals in brackets.  I've indicated all SPECIAL and NO COLOR ON BUILD stats in parentheses.

UPDATES:
~  1999 FXR3 Candy Emerald Green was previously reported as 620 (typo?); the corrected number is 621.
~  2000 FLTRSEI Both colors were previously reported excluding CAL units at 730/685; the correct numbers are 793/768.
~  2003 FXSTDSEI Black/Gold Annie was previously reported according to the CVO website estimate of 2,950; the corrected number is 3,080.
~  2008 FLHTCUSE3 Copper/Black Annie was previously reported according to the projected number on the badge of 1,800; the corrected number is 1,731.
~  2009 FLHTCUSE4 Ruby Red/Typhoon Maroon was previously reported as 1,255 (typo?); the corrected number is 1,155.
~  2007 FLHRSE3 / 2008 FLHRSE4 / 2009 FLTRSE3 / 2010 FXDFSE2 each were previously reported with no JPN units produced.  This is because each of them utilize a different internal model code and were referred to with slightly different model designations.  Because of that, they weren't in the same section of the database to be reported with the rest of the markets.  The JPN numbers have been added and the totals updated to reflect the corrected numbers.
~  2009 FLHTCUSE4 / 2010 FLHXSE / 2010 FLHTCUSE5 each were previously reported with JPN units produced because they were the same internal model code and therefore need no correction.
~  Still awaiting International breakdown on VRXSE and VRSCX.  Coming soon.
(I'll correct these on the previous list.)

LEGEND:
DOM = Domestic
CAL = California
AUS = Australia
CAN = Canada
ENG = England
HDI = H-D International
JPN = Japan

SPECIAL = Special
NCOB = No Color On Build

[USA = Total of DOM and CAL]
[INT'L = Total of AUS/CAN/ENG/HDI/JPN]

I've omitted BRZ, since no CVO units show export to Brazil.
HDI is all International exports besides AUS/BRZ/CAN/ENG/JPN.
SPECIAL and NCOB are listed after the last color of each model.

(Due to length of characters, this will have to be split into separate posts.)

Certainly, and I have no doubt that these are the most accurate numbers out there.  I was just confused why Wrongway's spreadsheet hadn't included them and you sometimes posted info on the specials and other times only posted a summary excluding those bikes.  That's all.

His spreadsheet was already set up, and he's never included the market breakdowns.  Here's another of the International breakdown posts that includes your FXSTSSE3.  Note the SPECIALS.

The other International breakdowns are on the CVO Numbers thread.  Page 9, I believe.

         I too would like to thank you guys for all the information. I also posted the production numbers for the 2012  FLTRXSE. Instead of a thanks all I got for my trouble was questions about how I got the numbers, blah blah blah. All you have to is call Harley Davidson when they have the production number collected, and they will gladly give you the info, over the phone or by email. Listening to some on here has taken away from being on here in the first place. If everything here is BS, why should a person log on to read ? You can certainly question some of the stuff print on here, and you should, but when a brother posts something that he said he got from HD, I have to believe him, as opposed to something someone says he thinks should be

              The numbers you got are spot on. I got the exact same numbers. I only got the total and int'l numbers. Thanks again for the break down of the numbers to all the countries.
                            Thanks again Jonnierock

You're taking my comments much too literally and so it seems you may be missing my point.

Okay.  I think YOU are missing the point.  The bulk and detail of the data takes it well out of the range of anything you've referred to.

Quote
No, it didn't happen with production volumes posted to this level of detail before. ::)

...which is the whole point.  This level of info is impossible to fabricate or falsify, especially since all the lesser info on this site corresponds to the bulk numbers except the noted discrepancies are accounted for.

It IS an issue of my credibility, and unnecessarily so just by the sheer volume of the exhaustive data.

Quote
Anyway, thanks again for the information.  I'll be moving along now ...

Okay.  Thanks.

Amazingly, your confirmation and the mountain of data and copied H-D e-mails I've provided still won't prevent some from saying "nuh-uh".

All this is mostly because of one idiot H-D employee with access to company stationery and a compulsion for incompetence in providing data.
