I just ordered a set of Hogtunes speakers.  I ride in the country or on the freeway 99% of the time and always have the radio cranked up loud.  With the addition of the Freedom pipes, I think the Hogtunes were needed.

FWIW, whenever messing with those two lower screws I always hold the end of an ignition magnet (like we used to use when we had points and condensor and had to fish out those little screws) up against the screw as it backs out.  I nearly alwayws drop one of those little buggers if I'm not catching it with a magnet.  And darned if I knew where they go sometimes.

I am still missing a 7/32 socket from the oil temp gauge install last week...I looked everywhere except the oil cooler cover...that is next.

Not this year! I will be dealing with Drag Specialties in April, so I may share space in their booth's next year.

Hey Pez

Will you be in Myrtle Beach or Biketoberfest?
Or what events are you planning  to  come to?
Or are you coming at all?

I think that must be my problem, after 700+ miles I think the connection must have rattled loose a bit and now I get a bit of snap crackle and pop.

OK, I know I'm gonna get a lot of $h!t for this but, I had a dead everything and finally traced it to the positive terminal on the battery. Now that I tightened that up, the stereo werks great again! [smiley=bigok.gif] (Now we know which connection rattled loose.)

Moral of the story, keep the chef away from them thar wrenches! [smiley=drink.gif]

Mr. We (please accept pre-apology now); that's what you get for working on a Harley with wooden spoons and other kitchen utensils.  You're supposed to chase Mrs We around the kitchen with those things when she's been a bad girl; not work on the bike !

Does anyone think there is valu in the following idea:

Mount an amp on the underside of the tourpac to power a pair of rear peakers in pods...hogtune speakers of course!

Would you change out the head unit or just drive the output through the front speaker connections?  What other options/opinions can you offer?

I still have not seen the "Perfect" head unit out there for me...even the marine units are left wanting.

Just thinking about future a project...

WFP

Actually have an amp mounted under the tour pak on my 03 Classic.

It's a night and day difference between the sound from the 03 and the sound from the  05 SEEG.

Only problem is that it's not detachable. I'm sure something could be worked out on that but "not by me".

I will take pictures this evening and post!
