One other thing that nobody's mentioned about the 575's...the wrist angle is 100% better than stock, so you get some added comfort there as well.
Thanks because wrist angle is very important to me as well...

I installed the 575 and love them. I am 5'7". If not mentioned mirrors on the fairing will be a problem so I went with billet mirrors and plugged the fairing holes. Also swapped out the cables to stainless braid. On the 2010 it was braided for only a short span if memory serves me well. I didn't need to extend the internal wiring either - something you will need to do if you go any longer bar length. Last, there were several posts that his bar ( like most ) needed some grinding to slip the grips on flusher else you will have a gap where the bar tappers - so watch for that gap.

IF I have to drop my fairing mirrors, I will start looking for another option I am not a fan of the bar mounted mirrors on the SG. I have seen several others mention they see just fine with the stock mirrors?

I modified my post while you responded - I added more info.

In regards to the mirrors, it's possible that you don't need a swap from the stock fairing mirrors...others can sound off on here if it's necessary. I like the bar mounted mirrors - better visibility and look great.

Yeah thanks. We all have a different taste. For me, bar mounted mirrors are a deal breaker.

If mirrors are going to be a problem, you may want to think on it or find someone who has the 575 local to see if they will obstruct fairing mirrors. Here is a pic I did that shows how much more taller the 575. From this pic you can sorta tell that it will block your view possibly...again, others can chime in on that...For my height, the new bars made my stock mirrors obsolete...I can take a few pics this weekend if you'd like ( bikes in the shop for service now).

...go to the pic with my son sitting on the bike...

I was worried that the fairing mirrors would be a problem,, but they work just fine for me.  All cables and wiring was fine also.

I was the same as you as I wanted to keep my fairing mirrors. With the 575's you will not be able to use all of the fairing mirror. I rode a SG with them and did not like them. That is just me. I seem to be different. I installed Yaffe 12 inch MBB's on my 11. I met a guy in Daytona that had some on his and I loved them. I will say that the 12 inch is actually about 14. I can see and use my fairing mirrors. I like them and wanted to keep them. They are a PITA to install. Well to get all the wiring inside them is a pain. Everything else is the same. I did have to get longer brake and clutch lines. It can take a long time to get them sometimes. That is unless you find someone with them In stock. I have installed several sets and they do not get any more easy. I have installed all kinds of bars and I will say Chubby's are great. The finish is nice, easy to pull wiring in. I just do not like the wrist angle. Again I am different. I have installed some Cyclesmith's and I thought they looked good. Wrist is a little more straight out. Again just a opinion.
There is a shop out in Austin Tx. that sells a lot of bars. They are Hill Country Customs. They have a great website that shows a lot of bagger bars. I could not deal with them because there customer service really sucked for me. I even was out there and they sucked in person. (Could have been me though).
Look on Ebay. There are a lot of options. Hope you have good luck. Please let me know if you need any thing.
 Take care.

Jesse, the 575's work ok with the fairing mirrors.  What I see in my mirrors is the edge of my knuckles.  It is not bothersome to me.  I agree with you, handlebar mirror's would be a deal breaker for me on this MC.

I just don't want to plug the holes from the mirrors. Handle bar mirrors are ok for me. Would be nice if fairing mounted mirrors would be an option.  Easy item to install after the bike has been purchased.  The fairing mirrors really aren't a problem with the 575s.  Any higher it would be.    Stuart
