A 58 throttle hog would be a very good upgrade

What is the effect of a larger TB on 110ci with the SE Stage III Pro Kit?
What difference will I feel on the street?

Sorry Silverone I disagree strongly with even the suggestion of this.  In my opinion time has already told.   The 103 was/is by far the better motor combination with more mileage on them before they fail or start to fail.   110= a 20-35k motor   103= 85k and still counting.  Many people if asked would have bought their 110's with 103's given the choice especially after the first few years of delivery.

Having just gone thru the internals of a 2005 SEEG 103 motor - I would have to completely agree the original 103 motor is superior to the 110 motor in most every aspect...   :2vrolijk_21:

How many miles? How did it look?

Other than the original spring cam tensioners which needed to be replaced, it looked like new.  Clean...lifters, cams, oil pump, rocker arms and rocker shafts - looked like new - virtually no wear sign at all, no signs of heat...  The cam chest, top end, primary all looked incredibly clean and literally looked new...  I was impressed.

12,500K miles...

In this case yes it was comparing the CVO 103 to the CVO 110.  Although I have had 2 x regular 103's  pre 2006 that i built from 88/95 that the first got sold at 58k and the other at about 40 something k.   Still think the 103 was a better platform all the way around.

Well I finally dropped the bike off with Mike Roland today, and am looking to get it back Thursday. I hope it tunes out well.

Hey,  It's Thursday, any news on the tune?   I have the same head pipe and mufflers on my bike.   I'm interested in going the same route with the tc 24.

I am just as hopped up to see the sheet as the rest of you. Mike had an issue at the dyno, one of the blower fans went out. He repaired that and started to tune and his lower back started acting up and he had to stop. I have been in those shoes, so I told him not to rush and I would get it monday.

Bowtech40,

Did you have a chance to pickup the bike yet?  Ride Report?

It will be next week before I see the sheet. Mike had some personal things he needed to take care of, so that comes first. We are getting pounded by another friggen snow storm anyway.

having owned a built 2007 103 FXSTC and a 2013 RGCVO tuned to the max, they are two totally different motors and bikes.

It is like trying to compare a 327 to a 350 Chevy or a 427 to a 454.

come on guy's, the motors were built to do different things

the 103 will rev quicker and will make a lighter bike seem ultra quick and a bagger perform like you thought it should

the 110 will make a heavy bike come to life and a light bike dangerous.
