Best if Luck on your trip home.  The weather in OhiO is really sucky with storms in the PM.  Be careful and safe returns   :2vrolijk_21:

Today was a long day.  :vrolijk_1: :clown:  We woke up in Limon, Colorado and road 538 miles to Kansas City, Kansas.  We usually never go over 350 miles a day but today the weather was cooler and the traffic light on State Route 24, so we hauled butt to get in as many miles as we could before we hit any rain.  Our goal tomorrow is to go north from here to Des Moines, Iowa and head East on the turnpike, Interstate 80.  We will stop for the night in Davenport, Ill.

In for the night..,  Thank goodness!

Just a suggestion, but if you've never ridden I-80 south of Chicago, I'd avoid it...especially on a Monday morning.   :stars: :bigcry:

Perhaps stay in I 70 to Indy, then I 69 to Fort Wayne, Indiana, then 24 to Toledo?  It's a shorter route, and a much easier ride.  Something to consider...   :2vrolijk_21:

Mike, we were trying to avoid St Louis.  It took us forever to get around it going west because of the construction and traffic but we are reconsidered and decided to head in that direction since it is the weekend. We're hoping less traffic and the Cardinals are not in town.  ;D

I agree with you Scott! This is the route I last month leaving out of Indy to go to Archbold Oh to see some family! Great route with the exception of some orange barrels in the Ft Wayne area!   :pumpkin:

Got up this morning and looked at the forecast.   :divers009:  Decided to head to St. Louis since it was Sunday and the Cardinals weren't in town.   :P. Radar only showed rain 50 miles East of St. Louis.., so we thought  :idea3: OK, let's go in that direction!  BIG MISTAKE.  :wall: :beatdeadhorse:  The traffic 40 miles west of the city was bumper to bumper  :'( and within 15 miles of the city limits it started pouring rain.   :bigcry:  We got off at the Chicago exit heading north and drove in a downpour until we crossed into Illinois.  We made it to exit 9 where we got a room at the Hampton. Total today was 300 miles.  We are 466 miles from home.  If the weather cooperates tomorrow we may try making it there without stopping for the night.

View from our room and MC's tucked away for the night

You seem to be making good time Judy despite the weather, traffic and detours. Hope it all improves for yas on the last leg of your adventure home.
