I can freely admit that I don't know much of the stuff posted here on the forum. I come here to learn. I might do something because it looks fun or sounds cool without know the ramifications. I think it was credible on part of the OP that he asked how, looking for some guidance from the people that know better. Just because it is common knowledge to many of you, some of us don't know it. I work on helicopters, avionics, so I have much to learn about my bike. The point of bringing up my 97 wasn't to say that it is comparable to bikes today, just that I had the throttle low on it. I had it low because it sounded good and no one ever educated me on the repercussions of such settings.
I agree, this is a hilarious post. OP asks a serious question, everyone jumps on board as if we all know everything, then the same people get butt hurt that I hurt their feelings by agreeing with NickyPass. If I change something up and it a bad idea, mechanically, I hope someone tells me. Most of us don't intentionally sabotage our rides and this forum is great so we can ask about things we find interesting. Some people can get over themselves and just answer questions and point out the facts.
I also had straight pipes on my 97 and my friend told me why that is mechanically bad, he wasn't an a55hole about it. He did tell me he would lynch me if I did that to the CVO because now I know better.
