Harley supposedly put millions of miles of testing into the original Twin Cams, and I think we all know how well that worked out. Let's see, premature cam bearing failures and premature cam chain tensioner failures top the list, but there were many other lesser problems that escaped Harley's testing and engineering analysis as well. Just because they've been playing with this water cooled head deal for a couple years doesn't mean they really eliminated the bugs. They have been pretty famous in recent years for taking very mature technology from the auto industry, slapping it on their bikes, and thoroughly screwing it up, so I don't think it's time to start assuming they've suddenly found a new batch of engineers or a management group willing to spend the time, effort, and money to do things right. I for one will require proof before I offer up any glowing comments.
