I received a call today from the dealer in San Diego who has a red 2013 Ultra CVO new - he said they were discounting it 9,500 off MSRP w/ no freight or prep charges - this should give you some idea what the dealers are doing with 13's as the 14's are very popular.

What does this make a used bike worth? I was at my selling dealer today for my 2014 Limited 1,000 mile service, They are stacked up with used bikes. My old 2007 SE Ultra is still sitting unsold, made me feel kind of sad for the bike.

A salesman at Rommel H-D in Annapolis quoted me $22,000 for my 2012 CVO Ultra.  I laughed out loud.
Then they'd turn around and put it on their floor for $32,000...Trading your bike into a dealer is most always a loser.

Whatever you choose, am sure you'll be happy. Myself, I bought my '13 SUEC because I love riding a Harley but was sick of continually trading bike in, after upgrading to make it mine. I've already done cool stuff to this bike, I'm gonna keep this one.

Enjoy

The MoCo is going nuts with marketing.  The changes are coming everyday year.  Now you have different shaped saddle bags and fairings.  The "old" pre-14 stuff-like windshields etc. won't fit on the '14s.
I think that you need to know when you have something you're satisfied with and enjoy it.
The ads will steal your soul- then your wallet.
In the '90s you could get a new bike every year for next to nothing.  Things have changed.
If you must have a new water buffalo with a different "info-tainment" system, my guess is you'll drop about $10 large
Plus add ons. :huepfenjump3:

So you will get all the new gizmos with the 14's. And what will happen? You will continue listening to the same tunes, the same way as you done all these years on your pre 14's right!! Not to many folks will take full advantage of the computing power of the the new electronics. Just like your Mac Book or your cell phone. We just use stuff kind of the same way we always do.  Just the basics.

In Canada, my local dealer just sold a 2010 SE Ultra for $29,900  and a 2011 SE Road Glide for $32,000  Both with high millage.

There is something to be said for the piece of mind you get after owning a bike for a while. It becomes your friend and there is bonding that takes place. It is a great feeling when a bike truly becomes "yours".  That however takes some years and some miles spent riding together.  That is the essence of motorcycling to me. You and your well worn machine out there riding free and clear of stress about the next best thing.  I am sure we all experienced this at one point with a machine that we owned. Harley is all about that.  So keep your rides and bond with them. Feel the feeling.
